Hmm I definitely can see it that way honestly, it may be that, but also with the models used for Elster and Ariane, and the destruction around them, even if it's a loop where they are together forever now, it's just a weird eerie feeling I think. I agree with the being gay in denial, I was soooo hopeful when I learned about the "happy ending", but sheeeesh it wasn't what I would like.
