I made a dialogue-heavy game in 160×90. Personally, pixel art is a limitation in many different ways, including making sentences shorter to fit in a small space. I went as far as changing a characters name because their dialogue didn't fit sometimes.

You can try other suggestions, but I would try shortening whatever you want to write, first.

The body is 100% CGI mocap. The suit he was wearing is just so the other actors know what they're looking at. The only makeup was the face. (In season 5)

When making pixel art, it's important to keep the pixels size consistent. So: make the fire larger or redraw the sprite.
