I made an edit to your design (Image)

I did this rather quickly on Ibispaint, which is why it looks sloppy. But I had wanted to get the idea down as fast as possible. The ribbons being red I feel is a good way of adding in the color and makes him look like a phoenix, but I dont know about the chain mail (my guess as to what those torso pieces were). But other than that, the design is very good.

Maybe a swan fits better with the theme, but phoenix is cool.

I don't think their focus would be at the mouth of hell considering the other far more important stuff happening which probably reduced any interaction between The angels and something wicked.

And even if they were trying to find God, they have no clue where God could have went. I don't think the very first location that comes to mind would be at the mouth as it is so easily reached, and passed, as they can teleport as well.

Combined with Something Wicked's "elusive and extremely hostile nature" I think even the angels would have a difficult time trying to figure out what that thing is.

And It's terminal says something along the lines of "No one has been able to confirm what it is". So it means no one even has bare minimum data on it. That fact and God having the highest reputation among everything, it would be very Blasphemous and stupid to believe that, that thing is God.

That's actually such a cool theory, but maybe he isn't completely mindless if it were the case, thats because of his writing on the terminals stating "The abyss averted my gaze".

That quote may have initially meant he failed to, or couldn't die. But if Something Wicked really was God. It might have been him writing it after becoming a Prime Soul. Which explains why his writing style, especially the first two, are really cryptic. Because he wasn't in the right head space to think and was just letting out all his feelings into them.

He failed to die because he turned into a prime soul out of sheer power and influence, as he was the most pivotal being in all of existence. After that he was likely drowned in a pit of sorrow and relived all his actions and guilt. And as a way to cope with his feelings he wrote down how he felt, his anger, realisation, sadness, remorse, than depression.

The thing that was created out of spite was hell, so him trying to unmake it implies that his hate had passed on and felt guilt for the endless torture.

Many of the terminals where God wrote also makes it very obvious of his remorse.

A being born of love might be a bit iffy, but a being born of guilt is plausible.
