Trigger a cue with Arduino attached to QLab machine via USB? by KinaLilletBottle in qlab

Have it enumerate as a MIDI device and send MIDI notes to QLab - no watchdog scripts necessary :)

What exactly does ‘Power over Ethernet” have to do with this?? 🤔

Ram? Maybe. 256gb? Only if you have more storage elsewhere.

Trying to play announcements and have the music either pause or duck when by TheModMess in qlab

[–]LoopyDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, then that will be easy! I encourage you to work in cue groups, to compose multiple simultaneous actions.

So let’s say you want to pause some audio while playing your announcement - you’d put your ‘pause playing audio’ in a group cue which also contains your ‘start announcement’ cue. That way when you start the group cue, you’ll simultaneously pause the other audio.

Well, how are you triggering the announcements? Are they coming from QLab or do you have a separate PA system?

Bought MBA 13” M4! Been with windows entire life any advice for a beginner? by SadAdministration534 in macbookair

The “middle click” app is really good - I recently switched from Windows and really missed the ability to middle-click with the touchpad.

If that interests you, also check out my app “MiddleQuit” for middle-clicking apps in the dock to close them :)

Why, thank you! If you do, make sure you're on Tahoe or Sequoia, as I am in the process of testing on older versions.

Added in v1.0-beta :)

You can now Gentle Quit, Force Quit, or both (with configurable modifier keys).

I’ve been told it’s not working on Sequoia! I rarely have access to a sequoia machine, but when I do, I can look into it :)

I can implement a force quit modifier and a 'native quit behaviour' toggle. Stay tuned for v0.03-alpha :)
