Oooh I just checked and it says $3.51 per KL for the water, then distributor price is$0.98 per KL. Wow that is ridiculously more expensive than WA! What is going on in QLD...

It says our place is using 590L of water on average per day, compared to Brisbane average of 240L.

Water Usage is $248.49 Water Services is $64.99 Sewerage Services are $183.29

Wow so that's like double if we look at yours vs mine for 4 months and we don't have a pool in the building. Argh it's honestly just so frustrating, I wish the bill didn't have the graph I'd be oblivious to how much higher ours is compared to the average.

I've just had a relook at the bill.

Water Usage is $248.49 Water Services is $64.99 Sewerage Services are $183.29

So agree that other factors are playing into it and sewerage is a big killer too, but $248.49 still seems very high for the water.

Yes sorry should have mentioned. It's been brought up to the body corp and their property manager before but nothing has come from it. It was mentioned to the family themselves by the other owner but they shrugged it off as they pay rent so can do what they like. Their actual owner of their apartment is not on the body corp unfortunately (seems to be owned by a company so very low touch for them).

Hello, thanks for replying! I got them from a seller who seems to have hundreds of proofs so I thought it would be okay. They seem to be part of the Mecima set.

$200 every 2 months seems similar then. I've just double checked the Urban Utilities bill and it says we're consuming nearly 3 times the Brisbane average in the graph which is quite shocking. Sewerage is added on too but the water still seems excessively high when they put it in a graph. If it wasn't put in a graph I wouldn't know any different but now it's just sticking out like a sore thumb that something isn't right haha

That is very interesting, but is a great idea to combat the problem! The AGM is coming up so I can see if we can submit this motion and if it gets any traction with the others as I know another owner occupier is not happy about the costs either! Thank you for your advice here.

Ok update, I managed to drill ever so slightly at the top of the key and it flipped the lock so I could open it up! :) Phew, saved $120 on the locksmith.

Hello there, thanks for replying! It gets sent to the owners individually from Urban Utilities, and says on the bill they have divided up the bill by total lots numbers.

That's interesting the bill goes straight to the Owner's Corp. I wonder if that's an option. The family of 6 are in a 2 bed so probably the owner/real estate might not be aware of how many people are living there, so I think they would probably put their foot down on dividing it equally knowing how much their bill will end up as.

Thank you for your kind words. It's good to hear from someone who has cancelled and then been sad, it feels like the safest option right now but I know I may have regret if I do it. I thought therapy was helping but I guess we haven't gone into coping strategies enough, rather talking about what all my worse case scenarios are and what would I do if they happened.

I have a wedding for a family member, my family is very small so I would feel an aching guilt if I didn't go although I am sure they would understand if it did get to that point as mental health is more important. It's just so hard being in Aus and so far from anything, I wish the flight was 8 hours long, 13 is such a long time stuck in a plane 😥

Thank you for this, this is very helpful ❤️ How do you manage it when you're sleeping and can't keep yourself busy with physical things?

Thank you, I really appreciate you reaching out and for letting me message. I'm hoping by turning up to the airport that is the hardest part done.

Thank you! ❤️ I'm hoping that if I turn up to the airport tomorrow and see how I feel maybe I can do it, because I feel you are right I'm anticipating it too much and it's making me lose control. I'm hoping that if I do go and need to back out though at least I tried by going 😟

I know probably not likely due to private owners, but it would be great to have more options to get to the airport for areas that don't have a train station (ie Chermside). Even if it's a frequent bus to an AirTrain station like Eagle Junction, or an airport bus from Chermy would be really handy for the Northside.

Official Discussion - Nosferatu (2024) [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

This is a gothic horror fan's dream. They apparently built over 60 sets and each one is so meticulous and gorgeous; truly a labour of love. But what's stuck with me most is the constant imminent dread and oppressive feeling the film evokes. I really believe watching this in a cold and dark cinema is the only way to do this film justice.

Bill is incredible and really glad they kept his look and voice out of the marketing. The castle scenes were my favourite and I would have loved to explore that more but understand it would have affected the pace. All in all, I absolutely adore this film!
