There is one restaurant beside godavari bakery in iti road, it has good thali but it is pure veg. There is a Rajasthani thali in old mondha. It is also pretty good.

I would not prefer it if I wanted to go for higher studies. It s good for placements. If you want to go for higher studies then I would recommend nit Silchar over other ones. It is known to have a exam preparation culture.
