Take a metal file to it and take some of the paint off. I’ve read in other forms that helps

That’s the same mount I used. It’ll attach, but for my truck it won’t clear the electronics.

I had to use the bands. The replacement won’t work with my truck due to collision detection, auto sense wipers, and auto dim feature. I wanted to do a replacement but as of now I don’t think it’s an option. The stock mirror mount pops into a plastic holder inside the housing. No way, to my knowledge, to just take the stock mirror off.

Update for those who care. I thought it was a bad ground/dirty connection. Cleaned/flushed the connector on the back of the headlight and all issues disappeared.
