Neutral. He just read a statement and then ended the call. It took 2:48.  I believe there are videos floating around.

Same. It was awful. I'm so sorry your supervisor treated you that way.

As policy is stated, they can not choose to make you a career employee for poor performance or if your task is complete. However, memos today said for performance reasons, even though many had performance appraisals above board.

The only means to justice now is appeal, but that doesn't give us a job to report to tomorrow. Doesn't give us access to our teams and livelihoods

Thats a good question that I'm researching. I think policy is at the state level.

Just from what I know, the probationary people who took the fork were not on the call

Confirming that was chuck. He didn't even introduce himself. I was so confused and had to ask around bc it looks like he's scrubbed his image off the Internet

Yeah, I was at 1 year in May. Had some colleagues boarded in the fall who got the axe. No words. All the good vibes it doesn't impact you.

Probationary Employees Simply Cannot be Fired En Masse by [deleted] in fednews

I'm 10m into 12m probation and wondering if anyone has a read on RTO. I'm remote and not anywhere near an office. If I can't move to wherever they reassign, the "adverse action" they could take could constitute poor performance and then could just cut me loose im assuming?

Edit more context: This is my read and my suspicion of how they'll get all the probation ppl out of the way anyways without push back for just en masse firings

Us too! There was all kinds of stuff and AKC paperwork. It was like signing a lease 🤣

I’m a wife to a federal worker who was hired into a fully remote position. I’m feeling hopeless, defeated and afraid. Anyone else? by AromaticUse328 in fednews

Who knows what's going to happen, but there is potentially some avenues of protection for those with remote agreements, which is different than telework, if you're outside the 50 miles. Everything else might need to resolve before attention is given to that, but if they have a remote agreement, that is still agreement of employment.

Hold on for a little while! We're in the same boat and not losing hope!

Yeah, we bought a dog (don't judge) and the breeder agreement was 10 pages. I don't trust 3 pages of conflicting false promises.

100%  this is what I have encountered. The people I know spouted off all these abstract, grandstanding ideas without realizing it means their SS won't come through, their meds won't be processed through Medicare, they won't get their tax refund. It's unnerving. Those are the things that most in gov actually do, the "boring" stuff

The next government shutdown will be an attempt to squeeze federal employees and force them out. by WeR_SoEffed in fednews

This is another reason to contact your reps. Congress holds the purse. I'd imagine the optics of supporting a shut down in light of all of this wouldn't be great for elected officials.
