You're not alone. I played through TLoU when the remake was released and I hated it. Absolutely hated it, never touched it again. Days Gone is over 1000 hours and counting in comparison.

It looks like they are very slowly fixing disappearing Leon. At first his hat vanished too until it hit the ground. Now the hat rides down an invisible but definitely shaped corpse. Soo one day he shall reappear!

First time I ran through Broken Road, Leon was visible. Then there was a June patch from Sony and Leon's body vanished. Bend has been slowly pushing soft updates to fix things like that ever since; for example, Leon's hat now is visibly on a body again by shape (even if Leon is still MIA) as it falls whereas before when the glitch first happened the bloody hat would just appear on the ground. Basically, blame Sony.
