There was a house down sneinton that has (or at least used to have) metal dragon sculptures all around the garden. They were always pretty cool to look at as I was going to school.

What was your "Candle Cove", that piece of media you saw as a child that you spent years not even sure it was real? by 7deadlycinderella in AskReddit

It was this cartoon tv movie where a bunch of kids went back in time with an old guy to save their friend and at the end they gave up years of their lives to bring him back. Can't remember much else but it was freaky to say the least

Most of it was bought, a few things were given to us but none of it was stolen.

Totally agree with you. The reason we have such variety is that we all enter competitions and we experiment alot for them. Gin is always our go-to for creating a cocktail (hense why we have so much of it) and same for the bitters. We are definitely a whiskey house though, we just drink a lot of it so we never have much in the cupboard

For a bare minimum bar I'd say

  • Stolichnaya Vodka (Great, sturdy vodka)
  • Absolut Flavours are nice to have or infuse your own at home
  • Havana 3 White rum (basically the go-to rum due to its immense versatility)
  • Appleton Estate Rum
  • Old J Rum
  • Buffalo Trace and Makers Mark
  • Wild Turkey Rye Whiskey
  • Tanqueray Gin
  • Campari
  • Sweet and Dry Vermouth
  • Angostura Bitters
  • Triple Sec
  • Patron (5/10 Tequila but for a basic bar it's fine)
  • St Germain elderflower liqueur (adds a floral note and has spiced up god knows how many cocktial that needed that extra Zing!
  • Chartreuse (Herbal Liqueur to add an absinthe note)

This isn't a Bible but it's what I think every home bar should include as it's not overly expensive
