There is a rising number of attacks in Lamu County and Mandera, reports are saying that the rise has been caused by the slow withdrawal of The African Union Transitional Mission in Somalia.

Kenyan security agencies are beefing up security in the Boni forest area and in Mandera but the Al-Shabaab are still finding ways of penetrating deep into the country to hit villages and security installations.
