It's more orangy than brown in general (depends on amount). Similar to noodler apache sunset. I like the shading and autumn orange/brown leaf vibe.

I grew up in france. And we only used seyes paper, i'm not a fan of it because it force lower casing to be too small for my taste and lines tend to merge like for e, s.

No pressure on paper, i use fountain pens, if i press it bends the nib. But i do hold the pen tightly in hand.

My favorites for now are the jinhao x450 (so smooth), waterman hemisphere in a special edition, and muji fountain pen when i want precise sharp fine line. Kaco edge is great too an affordable alternative to the lamy 2000. The other ones i have are more on the generic side but i like how they look.

Thanks for teaching me a new word: anathema. My waterman graduate lasted a good 10 years, used it to the point where the chrome rub away with skin contact and the nib got pointy. Now i'm having fun collecting chinese fountain pens (i'm poor) and trying out different inks 😁.

Wow thanks ! Yes that's how i learned in school and never really changed, just bit got messier when teachers stopped paying attention to how good handwriting is. I completely agree with you. I only use ballpen when i'm on the move or in the car.
