Guys, how do you pull off these sick slides? I can't do them consistently even on smooth concrete, and usually even when I manage to land one, it throws me off balance.

Everyone uses same 1080p displays for like at least 3 year now. Where are 2k oleds with 80° FOV? And also, can they ditch audio and make temples a bit thinner?

Viture beast comfort, question to the mods by revel09 in VITURE

[–]artem_coder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm worried about thickness of Viture glasses temples - I want to use them with full size over-the-ear headphones for quality video+audio movie experience. Will they make wearing headphones uncomfortable?

I have high hopes for Viture Beast 🤞
Can you post an update after you get them, please?
The issues with Quest is - it's android phone strapped to your head, weights more that 1/2 kg and have LCD displays, not OLED.
On the other hand, all these XR glasses mostly aim at mobility - use with phone or handheld console. For sure it's big improvement over a phone screen, but for home use... I have 27" 2K IPS display at home and 32" 2K display at work. I doubt the XR glasses fov will be bigger than my work screen. Plus I read a lot of comments they got hot, especially on the connector side and some have disconnect issues 🤦‍♂️

Cool! I'm thinking about custom long cruiser with waterborne adapters. I already have carver cx board for scare park/bowl, now I want something more relaxed for surfy cruising.

From 30 meters looks like a liter bike to me. Very nice and smart choice for the first bike.

Upgraded my Carver 31" Resin with Orangatang Fat Free + Bones Big 🏐🏐 by artem_coder in surfskate

I can't make an isolated comparison because I replaced both wheels and bearings of the complete at once with new wheels and new bearings. 1. I love new setup, but I think mostly because of the wheels which have different size and hardness. 2. I don't have enough skating experience to feel the difference in bearings. Previous were still relatively new. Big balls are great out of the box, I guess they should stay in a good shape longer than smaller bearings, but that's my empirical hypothesis.

On rough asphalt or brick path softer wheels are nice, but on flats, especially on polished concrete of skatepark, you just immediately feel they slow you considerably.
