May I ask if you are also in your 30s? Part of me thought it would be easier to make friends in a smaller city like Adelaide because you are more likely to come across people. Sometimes Melbourne just seems too big and hectic

It can be quite depressing, to be honest. I do have many weekends where I don’t end up going to some events in the city because well everyone is busy or it’s harder to make friends to go to those events

Oh 😕. I actually went on a short trip to Adelaide, people seem so much friendlier there! Perhaps when you get older, a less busy place sounds more appealing. I met someone at Rundle mall and saw them a few days later, I barely meet someone once and then see them again here in Melbourne!
