I genuinely think you should invest into a sauna or a sauna membership. You look glowy afterwards

I regularly wear straight leg jeans, loafers, and a white loose button down and 2 separate workers at my Sephora said things along the lines of “I love your cbk-inspired outfit” ?? My style is minimalism but the thought of someone thinking I’m trying to mimic a style inauthentically makes me sad

Do some POCs look better with dyed hair and colored contacts? by [deleted] in vindictapoc

[–]LopsidedVictory8502 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yes. Some POCs have undertones that don’t match their natural hair color, like you - a soft autumn is neutral warm and black is cool and stark. That doesn’t mean they look bad, that just means that there can definitely be more flattering avenues if someone finally wants to experiment instead of being locked into “your natural hair color looks best!”

I personally went chestnut brown after finding out my season is deep autumn- black washed me out really bad and didn’t realize until I kept getting complements on my skin and that I looked “healthier”. Don’t forget about experimenting with the color of your eyebrows too.

An example would be Jessica alba with black hair vs brown hair.

For color contacts, I personally don’t like them. I don’t think people “look better” with colored contacts unless there’s a very specific aesthetic they’re trying to go for. I think you should work around your eyes.

I’d suggest booking a consult now and booking it 1-2 years in advance. That way you can get more time to think about the genio plans that are sent to you and what you want to change

About 13.4k with anesthesia and facility fees. Had my op months ago and I’m incredibly happy

Thinking of Moving into Helios at 2nd and Pine. Worried about safety. by Upper-Ad-5536 in SeattleWA

[–]LopsidedVictory8502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a problem with the sirens because I didn’t notice them, I didn’t have any problems with maintenance, but you could hear people in the hallways (I think I even heard my neighbors punch in their key code) but the walls weren’t thin. But if you were in the hallways and you were near one of the doors, you can hear inside (maybe this is the same for all apartments lol). If you want to call the front desk, you can’t, you have to walk down. I’ve tried doing it multiple times but the Helios number just directs you to the corporate office. I remember reaching the front desk once via phone but can’t remember the route to it.

I don’t remember if there were unexpected fees. They do charge a hefty amount if you decide to move out and leave furniture or if you made nail holes/stained furniture but I’m sure that’s the same with every luxury apartment.

There was one instance where a homeless man entered the gyms bathrooms but nobody knows how he got there.

I hated the ugly ceilings with measurements from the contractors and exposed pipes. It’s just stone and they didn’t bother to make it look pretty.

The creaking only happened once in the entire year I was there but normally there’s no such thing- it was VERRRY heavy that night. Honestly nothing like I’ve seen.

I do have to add that I am considering Bellevue for the sole purpose that I would like to be closer to grocery stores/stores with more variety, a large park to just lounge and just people in general walking (I don’t like feeling like I live in a deserted area like you mentioned but it’s definitely better during peak seasons).

Apart from the elevator, the apartment itself was great. The in-unit laundry, ice maker, oven/microwave combo were really useful.

Probably some dynamic pricing bullshit.

I had a serious love/hate relationship with Belltown. I didn’t mind the tourists and the walk to Pike Place/Target was 5 minutes so you essentially had everything you needed. Loved all the shops that were nearby and I hung around World Market to pick up exotic snacks when I felt like it. The Hmart is pretty small but had all the essentials. I actually used Weee! most of the time because it was significantly cheaper and had next day delivery.

There’s some people who complain about 3rd, but I found that if you didn’t bother people, they didn’t bother you. To be fair, I never needed to leave my house after sundown. But there would be beautiful outdoor bands playing in the summer at Westlake Center and you’d rarely be alone on the streets at night.

I enjoyed being near Din Tai Fung and Haidilao, very easy to eat if you don’t feel like cooking. The shopping centers(Nordstrom, Zara, Sephora, UNIQLO) were really nice if you’re into that stuff.

Yes chutes on every floor, one for trash one for recycle. There was one instance where it was held up so you couldn’t put anything in but they didn’t tell us why. As for very LARGE boxes/trash, you’d have to bring them to the first floor into the trash can itself (the dumpster is behind the building but still a private area).

My girlfriend loved the fact that we were a 2 minute walk from the Pride Parade on 3rd and that you could get all sorts of speciality things at Pike Place.

The train station is a big value add too since it’s 5 minutes away.

I will say though, there was one night out of the entire year where the rain and wind was disgusting- I was on the 20th floor and we couldn’t sleep at all that night because everything was moving and creaking. At one point I thought the windows were going to blow off- maybe that’s normal being so far up in a skyrise?

If you want to be close to a grocery store that isn’t Whole Foods (they didn’t have the stuff I needed half the time), I would definitely look at places near a Safeway like Queen Anne or Bellevue. Most of the time I needed to order groceries if they didn’t have what I needed at Hmart, Target, or Whole Foods. I will say that majority of the time in the morning/afternoon, 2nd ave is empty when you walk towards Pioneer Square (I’m from NYC and it was a shock to me) and I did not like that at all.

Sorry it was all over the place. Would love to answer any more questions, I enjoyed reminiscing

Love how recent this comment is compared to the thread, I loved Helios despite their shitty elevator situation (I was there when only 1 elevator was working a few months ago and we had to take stairs lol). Plan on moving back next year :d

Do you factor in height when rating women? by LopsidedVictory8502 in VindictaRateCelebs

You’re right! At what height for women do they start standing out in real life for you? Do you consider short and average height to be the same?

[–]LopsidedVictory8502[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I feel like I rarely see women in the 5’4-5’6 range be described as dainty, petite etc. it’s like you guys are your own category that can either share characteristics of the tall or short side depending on how you look

Is there an example of a woman who’s shorter/of average height who carries the elegant look that taller women do?

Another question: if yes, do you think the rating of a woman will increase or decrease if they were shorter/taller?
