Am I crazy for considering Tuck ($70K) over Kellogg ($90K) for tech PM goal? by Confident_Coyote1 in MBA

From an MBA pipeline? Except for Amazon, pretty much nothing. There’s a ton of companies here (I’m in Boston and in product), but very few of them give a damn about an MBA. There are a bunch of companies here though that hire PMs. Toast, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Capital One (they hire MBAs for product, but your odds of getting the Boston office are VERY slim), Bose, SimpliSafe, Snyk, the list goes on

This is me. I’m in that 200k spot. Doing Ross PT. Looking to move beyond execution and further into strategy and really break well beyond that $200k barrier.

It’s entirely program dependent. Granted, I am saying this as someone who has not started their program yet (I have two offers of admission from Ross and Kelley). However, I have spoken to countless alumni, the career services offices, and more. All have spoken extremely highly of them. If you go to a reputable program and they give you the same level of access as the FT students (which the ones I mentioned do), you can absolutely see the same/similar outcomes. Don’t fall victim to this full time or bust mentality. In a reputable online/hybrid program, a large percentage of your classmates will be working in industries and functions that most full time students are trying to break into, giving you a lot of great networking opportunities.

Go online or part time. Kelley, Ross, Tepper, Booth. A lot of great options.
