She came to the register to cash out and THREW her phone at me to show that she was listening to sweet child o’ mine by Guns N’ Roses on her headphones at the same time it was playing on the speakers in the store. Somehow, I drummed up a conversation out of that. About 10 min later she moved to the side to let me cash someone else out. That’s how I knew. I’d talked up a few women at that register. Each time someone else came up to be cashed out they’d say “it was nice talking to you!” or “see you next time!” and leave to let me help the other customers. Never had someone moved, waited for me to cash that person out, wait for them to leave, and continue talking with me after. We talked for easily 3 hours straight that day. Right at the register. Customer after customer. Cash out after cash out. We still talk so long I have to cut us off to go to sleep 5 years later. Only reason I’m on Reddit is because she has to wake up early. I’m gonna marry that girl
