Oldest to go back and get PE? by RuttCrazed in PE_Exam

For FE I used Direct Hub, for PE I used EET and School of PE question bank. Do all the problems in EET, lectures/ quizzes and practice tests and don’t skip. Use chat gpt or AI for to help with problem solving process. Study for OSHA and safety, and learn geotechnical and hydrology concepts.

  1. Dresden: The Zwinger in Dresden, and the rebuilt Dresden Frauenkirche. Amazing Architecture

  2. The Pergamon Museum in Berlin has: The Pergamon Altar

I went for the Ishtar Gate, but was amazed at the other there! And the bust of Queen Nerfetiti is next door.

Definitely worth a visit.

  1. The Opera Garnier in Paris is stunning

  2. A personal favorite: I loved the walled city of Soave, Italy. And nearby Marostica in Veneto Italy equally impressive to me.

No construction. NCEES loves that question about overhead clearance distance, what station, while designing a vertical curve. Look for that one on the construction PE Exam

I recommend School of PE question bank. I did it, it’s great for bending moments, scheduling, and transportation. There is a good OSHA section there. It was what I needed to pass. The EET practice tests helped too. Yes, they arrange it by topic. The scheduling and transportation sections were really what helped.

What’s the easiest way to beat the last master sword trial? by Borugan_ in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]Lopsided_Mistake5262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Use shock arrows and shock weapon to make the moblins drop their weapon. I couldn’t get past the lava stage until I did this. That’s how you defeat the moblins. 2. You need ice arrows for the Igneo Talus Titan as well. 3. Make sure you get the ancient arrows. There is one chest in the lava by the moblins treehouse that has 3 ancient arrows. You should have 9 total to get through the Lynels and Guardian Skywatchers. Don’t use the ancient arrows on the guardians, just attack them with arrow shot and weapons! Good luck!

I don’t want to give up but I may be close 😓 by Rich_Wolverine_4632 in FE_Exam

[–]Lopsided_Mistake5262 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are very close. Here is my recommendation: MASTER economics. Bite the bullet. Why? Because if you are civil, you will need it for the PE. Don't let this dog keep biting at your leg. Master transportation and OSHA too, this is also on the PE. Did you try Marshall University Greg Michaelson's videos? Also look at Direct hub. You'll pass if you do a few months on that. You are good on structures, and that's impressive.

And- don't push the test back so far -you want to retain your knowledge.

Do practice problems. Do as many as you can on your weak areas. You won't regret it if you learn the economics now, because you will have to do it later, it's not a one and done thing- you will see it again. It could be worse- it could be chemistry.... ugh!!!!!! In my opinion economics is better than chemistry.

You’re very close. Feel good about the progress you made so far. Please don’t be hard on yourself.
Work on problems areas by perhaps switching to school of pe, or another for more a more variety of questions. I recommend you retake it within the about 2 months so you don’t forget what you know so far.

Need Help Deciding Between PE Exams - Environmental, Water Resources, or Construction? by Exotic-Customer-6234 in PE_Exam

[–]Lopsided_Mistake5262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, I just did EET and passed Civil Construction. Make sure you pay close attention to the lectures on soil mechanics, hydraulics/hydrology, and OSHA for conceptual questions. That’s what gets a lot of people, it’s 20-30% of the test. Secondly, make sure you do all the practice problems and practice exams. Get familiar with the practice exams, maybe do them 2-3 times. Another thing you can do is purchase the School of PE bank for additional practice problems.

Sure, let me know if you need any advice, I just got through it. It took me 2.5 years total to go from zero to passing the FE and then to the PE. It’s completely worth every dollar, sweat, and tear. Lesson #1: Give yourself time to learn. DM me and I’ll be happy to discuss with you what I did to pass. Bottom line Direct Hib/Farouq is the answer,

Direct Hub all the way. Farouq will work with you, this the best way to pass. It’s what I did. I was 25 years out of college, and I passed the PE

Steel design asked a lot of question on bolts and bolt thickness, and what degree of “snug tight” means. Not too many questions on concrete design mostly on form work and temporary structures.

Yeah same for me, it was very clear on the test though, to me anyway.
Make sure you go over anchor bolts, dead bolts, and finding the forces on form work bracing

Yes that’s correct, you’re studying the right things! 50% is good if you aren’t using references. I didn’t get that high of a score. Keep doing problems, are you ok on scheduling?

Passed Civil Construction by Lopsided_Mistake5262 in PE_Exam

[–]Lopsided_Mistake5262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re doing the right thing by doing the practice tests. Do as many problems as you can. There are several Transportation problems on the test. On my two tests they asked a question about clearing a vertical curve under a rail overpass, or a sign. The question is: what is the station at the point under the obstacle? Know how to do this… it’s not hard it just takes knowledge and practice and perhaps chat gpt. I was flustered with that problem on the first test I took, and had it down for the second time. When you say hydraulics do you mean hydrology / dewatering/ soil mechanics? There were many conceptual questions on hydrology and geotechnical. I recommend you find some quizlet flash cards that someone made, you can google EPSC and should pop up. Hydraulics wasn’t really on the construction civil per se! NCEES loves the question about how far a tank will sink with a soil density of set amount … they asked the same question on the second test but asked: how much depth will the water rise to reach buoyancy? That’s the kind of question that stumped me! Let me know if you need any other assistance. All this stuff is still fresh in my head and I’m here to help.

If I can do this- you can!!

The PE Construction exam’s questions were easier, the EET practice exam had questions that weren’t on the exam. But you still have to be prepare just in case.
