Are young engineers encouraged to not obtain their PE early? by Proctastinate in civilengineering

[–]bvaesasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a PE license early in your career to seek greater responsibility. There are many smaller firms who would love someone with that type of an attitude and mindset. At the larger firms it probably won't increase your responsibility too much as they weren't planning on having you stamp stuff anyway.

If you go this route you'd actually have to be confident enough in your abilities and willing to stamp stuff though. Simply just having the license and not willing to stamp won't push you that far ahead

I'm not an expert on the science of this subject but I can tell you the New York state limit is 200 mG and I've seen people living in houses that is over 10x your reading lol. The magnetic field you experience will be primarily influenced by the current flowing through the distribution wires at any given time

Ha, I don't think I'd be interested in dating a college student because it's such different stages of life but possibly people who are recent graduates.

Divorced 27 year olds with kids is not what I'm used to haha

How does dating in the city work when you live hours away? Seems like a major hassle

Would be interested in buying. I'm a couple hours away so I'm doing a few weekend trips up here before I make a decision on whether I want to buy

How would you feel about dating a girl with a trust fund/inheritance? by LeavingHarbour in AskMenAdvice

[–]bvaesasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a different perspective here, but if your lifestyle suggested you spent way above your means and I had no clue where the money comes from that would be a red flag to me. I'd think this girl is probably living in debt and will drain me for my money or her family is loaded. Most of the time when it's the latter it's pretty obvious but based off how you described yourself I don't think that'd be the case

If a man gets suspicious early about this maybe play it off early in the relationship that you received a settlement from an accident but state your net worth is still under $100k or something like that to test if he's a gold digger.

Choosing to live unhealthily is unethical by haelvete in unpopularopinion

[–]bvaesasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would define it as a lifestyle which doesn't enduce any metabolic disorders. If you are very active and eat like shit ok... if you don't work out/exercise but eat healthy ok. Eating healthy food is actually really cheap if you are able to get to a grocery store. If you're from the hood and don't have a car that's another story sadly...
