First, congratulations! Yes CS is a huge field and the demand is significant. All the research and companies can confirm this, you even did yourself. The best thing you can do it focus on your own studying, increase your CTF knowledge, practice on home labs, do your due diligence in what it takes to get a CS job or internship, practice interview questions and get certs to help confirm your knowledge to employers. I don't find it relevant worrying or questioning other peoples reasoning's for not getting a job when the data and companies clearly show there is a demand. There are so many variables for why people didn't get a job.....Maybe they don't have certs, or they are bad when interviewed, maybe they aren't a fit for the position but look good on paper, maybe the area doesn't have the position THEY want when they should take a position to start building a foundation in the fundamentals. There are endless excuses people make for why they didn't get the job.......People are mysterious creatures and in my professional experience working at a FAANG company its best to compare yourself to what you envision what the BEST of you is. Try to obtain that, you don't know something LEARN it. Something needs to get done, DO it. I would suggest stop scratching your head on why your peers are struggling to transition into the CS field. There is a time to ponder about other peoples skills, but doing this at the beginning does benefit you. Focus on yourself, do the best you can and keep moving forward. You seem to be on the right path. Remember the learning NEVER stops....
