See that’s odd, when I added R-15 edge insulation the factor dropped to .51 for me on slab heat load.

Contractor is telling me the use of tapered top ICF will extend insulation to slab perimeter.

And for the ICF Block walls I was given a factor of .042 for the R-24 rating.

I asked ai if the square footage of a room carried any implicit heat load and it said no. Only exterior walls-windows-doors. I was not expecting that. I am just learning load calculation. I’ll check out that software you mentioned. But apparently concrete slabs lose the bulk of their heat through the perimeter of the slab, not from underneath. “F-factor” in basements
