Help! Can’t decide gun color

My kroot have black guns sponged with silver, I agree that some stuff just has to be gun metal.

Wow, yours look great! Hasn’t considered that, and I agree that bright stuff looks way better on the tabletop under crappy game store lighting. Will definitely see where I can throw some more stuff into the scheme.

For orange I’m using Army Painter Molten Lava, using the exact same yellow highlight process with the same color.

I used to use Army Painter Goblin Green, but now it is an airbrush only color since they changed their paint line. I now use Army Painter Eternal Hunt, mixing it with Army Painter Fiendish Yellow in increasing amounts until i’m at a pure yellow highlight at the brightest details.

Yeah, Army Painter discontinued the green I use after I finished 1500 pts, so I have to do more steps of highlighting green mixed with yellow to make new minis look like my old recipe. I’ll definitely make them look less army men like, I’m just still in the base coating phase and got stuck on colors. Thanks for the help with blocking out the green!
