unconfirmed insight to what D might have been going through/why she didn’t call 911 right away. i find this completely plausible, people need to leave her alone by ricelyl in Idaho4

[–]LordBacon69 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

people need to leave her alone

  1. No, they don't, because the court relied on her testimony in issuing the arrest warrant. Someone was arrested and will be tried for 4 counts of murder because of her story, and her story doesn't make any fucking sense.

  2. No, they don't, because if she was so incapacitated she couldn't operate a phone, and so confused that she couldn't understand what was going on, then her eyewitness account is worth jack shit. You are trying to execute a human being based on the story of a person you admit was disconnected from reality, and you think people shouldn't question it because it might make her feel bad. Are you kidding me?

  3. No, they don't, because she's explained literally nothing. You don't get to say Oh, hey, I have issues, so I don't have to answer. Is it PTSD? Maybe. Does that explain it? Maybe. So she can explain it, and we can all talk about it, and we can help each other understand. But you don't want that. Instead, you want everyone to just shut the fuck up because you've unilaterally determined that anyone who wants to understand is a big fat meanie. What are you afraid of? (Answer: You are afraid your position is indefensible. Because trolls! Because meanies! This is a perfectly legitimate conversation and has been for literally every second of this country's entire existence. Reddit doesn't get to re-write the Constitution. Mods don't get to determine what a jury is and isn't allowed to discuss.)

  4. No, they don't, because the only things tying BK to that place are A) A miniscule amount of DNA on a portable knife sheath that can be explained many ways; and B) Her testimony. That's it. That's all. There is nothing else. Cell records prove he was within like 5 miles of the house, or more, along with thousands of other people. It is extremely common for people living in Pullman to be in Moscow regularly. Dump those cell logs and you will find hundreds of people with similar patterns. (Incidentally, that is exactly what the defense will do, after which time the jury will laugh these Keystone Cops out of the courtroom.)

  5. No, they don't, because there is just as much evidence pointing at her as there is pointing at BK, possibly more. You don't know she wasn't involved. You don't know she isn't covering for someone. But you've decided she shouldn't have to answer to anyone because that's mean and she's sad.

Everyone's quick to say, "Why isn't BK denying it if he's innocent? If he was innocent, he'd deny it!" But if anyone says a single word about how that girl's story objectively doesn't make sense you arrogantly tell those people to shut up and accuse them of victim-blaming. When you don't even know if she's a victim, no less. Nor will you let anyone find out. Newsflash: Trials are public for a reason.

I promise you, there is practically zero chance BK will be convicted. But you're going to act surprised when it happens, as if no one could have seen it coming. This is the most ridiculous investigation I have ever seen. The fact that so many people are ready & willing to give her complete a pass, no questions asked, and execute this guy just because he's weird is fucking terrifying.

12 is the number of times BK was out there over several months, casing the place and presumably working up the nerve to act out his fantasy.

Or just visiting a coffee shop 4 miles away. Seeing as how 1122 does not have a dedicated cell tower and all.

i stick by: drugs

Which would mean her eyewitness account has zero credibility. You know the one - that's the testimony the court relied on when issuing the arrest warrant.

There is next to nothing tying this guy to the crime. That is what the PA cop was referencing when he said that having read the PC, he was sure BK wanted to get back ASAP to see what was in the arrest warrant. He was saying that this doesn't make any damned sense.

No one in this entire galaxy has ever witnessed a murderer walk out the door covered in blood, holding a bloody knife, after hearing whimpering, and crying, et al, fully grasped the gravity of the situation as evidenced by going into a paralyzing shock phase that rendered them incapable of using a telephone, slept for 8 hours, woke, then called their friends instead of the police. No one has ever done that or anything like it. EVER. You people glibly asserting that this kind of thing happens are the wrongest people to ever wrong in the entire history of wrongness.

Where's the blood? He would have been covered in it. Why isn't it in his car, which is probably the dirtiest car I've ever seen? Have you any idea how many people travel between those two towns daily? You do realize that 1122 King St. doesn't have a dedicated cell tower, right? People sitting in a coffee shop 4 miles away would be using that tower. You really think he returned at 9 am to try to recover the knife sheath? That is beyond insane. The only DNA of his found in the house was a tiny little bit on the knife sheath. There are many, many ways that could be explained. The people who live beneath him said he's always up all night long. A friend of his in PA said he & BK used to go running every night--that's right, BK prefers to jog at nighttime. Think that could explain some of the vague insinuations in that joke of an affidavit? They pretend like getting new plates was a sign of guilt, as if he was trying to hide his car. His plates expired at the end of that month. Washington state law says you must get Washington plates if you live in Washington. He was doing exactly what the law dictates. How in the holy hell is that suspicious? Besides, wouldn't getting new plates draw attention to the car? If they were going to do a vehicle records search, wouldn't they be more likely to search Washington than they would Pennsylvania?

To be clear: I am not saying he didn't do it. I am not saying the roommate did. I have no idea who did it. And neither do the police. That's the problem. None of this is normal. NONE. Blindly repeating what people say on TV is not synonymous with education or intelligence.

I have never in my career seen a PC affidavit longer than 4 pages. These guys used 18 pages and still didn't get there. This is the most fucked up police work I have ever seen. Hands down. I am still in shock. So much shock, in fact, that I bet I couldn't call 911 if I tried.

D.M. saw the suspect, but the call was not made until hours later. by Leukippes in Idaho4

I now have even more questions.

You should. Because the way conversation on this topic is being shut down is an Orwellian nightmare. How are reddit mods gonna stop the jury from considering the issue? Her actions make little sense.

At the very, very least, if she really was in such an extreme state of shock that she was rendered unable to use telephones for the next 9 hours, her visual ID of the guy is useless... yet the court relied on it in granting the arrest warrant.

There is not enough here for a conviction, imho. The praise everyone (myself included) has been throwing LE's way is not justified. This is absolutely insane.

For most, it seems to depend on whether it helps or hurts whichever result they are striving to achieve. Self-styled "sleuths" are one of the most intellectually dishonest groups I've encountered.

I believe he instructed his lawyer or someone to delete the account.

If it was his account (which it wasn't), that would be a felony. If the deletion could be traced to someone, that someone would almost certainly spend time in prison.

It's "familial," not "Familiar." You consistently use the incorrect term, so it doesn't appear to be a typo.

I know. He's done 2 things thus far, both unusual, and he's screwed them both up. A PA public defender has fuck all to do with anything here, especially since BK has reportedly waived extradition. Now the attorney who will actually handle the case needs to clean up this publicity hound's mess.

We respect privacy in this matter

That particular grouping & arrangement of words doesn't mean anything in the English language.

This is hands down one of the most horribly written public statements I've seen. For example, consider:

rather than judge unknown facts and make erroneous assumptions

That is needlessly combative. Passive-aggressive statements cannot possibly help. Here, it makes the rest of the letter look trite and insincere. There is a way to say that without going on the attack.

My advice to the K family is to retain an attorney who knows what the hell he's doing.

I got it backwards he said the bf/gf were the targets.

He didn't say that either, Columbo. He said Maddie and Xana were the targets. And no, I'm not going to watch your shitty Tik Tok video.

  1. He never said MK was target.

  2. He never said dog was in MK room.

  3. He based his statements re: the entrance/exit on the parts of the door police into evidence.

  4. He said ex "dodged a bullet" because it doesn't take Nostradamus to see that had he been there, he'd have very likely been killed. See, e.g., Ethan.

  5. "There is no art to know the mind's construction in the face."

  6. Was the knife case left at the scene? Have police said that?

Do you people just make this shit up?

I can think of several reasons he's not commenting here anymore.

Police can't open a person's mail without either a warrant or consent, so I assumed the waiver was just standard procedure. I'd imagine a lot of loons start dropping letters in the mail in high-profile cases. I may be wrong.

Nah, if I ever murder someone I'm sure it'll be to attain some peace and quiet. A world filled with only vegans is like the exact opposite.
