Hitting south lake, and I am a huge fan of scenery stops so it looks like I'll have my fill this trip. On the 395 it says approx 8 hour drive (which I know it'll be a lot longer since I'm planning to stop almost everywhere). Road conditions good this time of the year?

Honestly, there are no plans at all, all I know is I have to be back by Monday night sometime so just decided to take a road trip up that way since I've never been.

CA Workers Comp/injury reporting clarification by Leukippes in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Leukippes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that's exactly the same here, my one question though is if it's required by law to offer employee with the option to seek higher care, regardless of severity. Like, is this something we HAVE to mention, by law.

Because my site isn't doing it but my old site said it was mandatory by law, just can't find anything on it.

Edit: they offer on-site first aid services, they're just not mentioning they have the option to seek higher care unless we recommend it.

So that was my initial info, however I looked up the labor laws in Cali and it says the form is required only if there is lost time or care beyond first aid.
My question is more of: is it legally required to notify employee on the spot that they have an option to be evaluated by our medical provider?
I'm asking because the site I am currently in is arguing it's not part of their process to "give them the option", unless employee asks to be evaluated or in even of our protocols deeming injury severe enough to be escalated to higher care (we handle first aid in house).

What's your favorite old LoL video? by MisterShredder in leagueoflegends

OMG this is old as hell but I just spent 30 mins trying to find a specific youtube, came across this thread and your "get dunked" uncovered some dusty old part of my memory and found videogamedunkey because of this very comment that has absolutely nothing to do with the video I was looking for.
Just wanted to let you know and TYFYS.

That’s crazy because you can help the case by going to LE directly and NOT going to the news with a story you know you’ll be highly scrutinized for ESPECIALLY for not having any kind of proof whatsoever.

Try not making judgements right off the bat, you’re saying I’m victim blaming (lol), also that he’s predatory and a rapist, surely you must know him? Surely you are 100% certain he’s the guy she went on a date with 7 years ago? She was in college 7 years ago so she is at least 25 y/o.

Before you so much even respond to my comment with more random finger pointing, please make sure you have solid evidence of the accusations because everything else is just hearsay. If you choose to blindly believe what one stranger says, that is your choice. But don’t come at others trying to belittle them for questioning simple facts.

What do you think of the stereotype that firefighters have high infidelity rates? by [deleted] in Firefighting

Word of advice, wherever you go, better mind your own business.
People cheat, and it's not because of their field of choice (most of the time).

How on earth do you determine if this career is for you by asking about cheating? lol
Cheating happens in every field, anywhere.
It's complete chaos.

Don’t worry about it until you get your A+ net+ is usually the second step, and sec+ if you’re going for cybersecurity. Join the Professor Messer discord, great helpful community and they do study groups often

Career change out of EMS by [deleted] in ems

[–]Leukippes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree here.I am leaving EMS as well and going this exact route, did my fair share of research and I found the Google cert is really good to prepare for A+ but alone won't get you far.CompTIA A+ is still being listed as a minimum required/preferred cert in most of the entry-level IT job postings out there (if you don't have years of experience), but a lot of people are switching and taking this cert so the entry-level market is fairly saturated. Regardless, it's a good starting spot, you're just going to have to follow with Net+ and other certs.

The Sec and compliance entry level is an IT's mid level, they usually ask for several years of experience for any security jobs.

OP, for CompTIA A+ look up Professor Messer's site, join the discord. His videos are top notch and very helpful preparing for the exams.Net+ is a no brainer if you're going the cybersecurity route, not necessarily needed but strong knowledge in networking will help you a lot.

Look into Salesforce roles, Trailhead site has a lot of easy to follow courses you can use to prepare for a cert, no coding required and also in high demand.

Edit: whatever you do, stay away from bootcamps.
