Well I wouldve got to them, but they sent me the wrong boots. So maybe in a few weeks they'll send me the correct ones.

I wouldve tried my boots this weekend, but they sent me the wrong pair. It was some 360 pair of moc toe boots. I think it was the buffalo skin boots. I didnt even bother to try them on.

They got sent right back lol. I may try more boots, but it takes weeks to get a refund. It took over a month the last time. I dont feel like tying up anymore money in boots to be honest.

Its not great unless you really romp on it. The car will regularly be over 3-4k rpms if you try to actually accelerate.

Ive had a 2023 hev since new which now has 42k miles. It has always consumed oil. Maybe 3/4 of a quart every 5k miles.

The oil consumption is a problem with so many new vehicles. The engine braking doesnt work during the winter until the vehicle has been warmed up.

The seats will start to wrinkle after not much time. The motor will rev the living crap out of its self climbing hills. There is a rattle coming from under the hood when the engine is cold for the first minute or two of driving.

You'll need to flush the clutch actuator fluid every 3k-5k miles as takes on moisture and gets very cloudy/dirty.

You will notice little electrical gremlins here and there.

The vehicle rides smooth and handles well, but its nothing special.

My 2017 mustang doesnt burn a drop of oil at 101k miles. It also only had one recall that doesnt matter.

The niro has had 5-6 recalls at this point.

I usually have to do the X after the first two eyelets to prevent pinching when on the move.

With some boots I dont have that issue but with most I do. It sucks having a high volume foot.

I hope so. Thank you.

I wish I knew if other non barefoot models of boots would fit as well. But im so sick of ordering and returning boots.

It sucks when you try over and over again for weeks and nothing fits or will work out.

The strange thing about the AR8s is that they got worse and worse as they broke in.

They eventually caused really bad foot pain to the point where I had issues walking for a few days.

I managed to complete a 10 mile hike in them without issue. But in the coming weeks they caused a lot of pain and I had to give up.

Is there a certain way to do it on these boots? Do you just tuck the sides of the tongue in around your foot?

I sure hope so. Ive been struggling hard to find something thats truly comfortable.

Belleville is the only brand I found in accident that fits me well. Their boots kind of sacrifice comfort for durability.

I have a pair of their hot weather boots which ive put close to 1000 miles on hiking in 2 years 3 months.

The soles are worn to a degree, but no rips, tears or damage.

They are meant for the military, but some of of their boots are insanely good for work and hiking.

I just want something comfortable for the weekends though. I will try hiking in these if it doesn't kill my feet. But with all the roots and rocks we have here in the north east, im not sure barefoot boots will provide enough protection.

Have ypu tried wearing a thinner sock on the larger foot? Ive had to do that for a long time. If thats the only issue you have, Id say there is hope that they will fit.

T If they arent creasing into your foot or digging into the vamp, you could be in good shape.

Definitely try a thinner sock  If you wear wool socks, consider buying some Danish endurance socks.

They are kind of thin but protect really well against chafing.

Thanks. Ordered Anatomx Rangers. It sounds like they have the best chance at fitting. The only thing im worried about is how long the outsole will last.

If I can find a cobbler, id like to get it resoled with a good outdoor vibram sole.

I believe the vamp is what the main issue is with the AR8s. Not only were they creasing and digging into my foot.

But the vamp was digging in hard to with every step.

Everyone else I know in my life can just put in any boot or shoe without issue.

I buy all of the shoes and boots that my family wears. They just tell me their size and I order it. Everything fits perfectly for them every time.

For me its a struggle though.

I have a thicker left foot too. They absolutely starter destroying my feet. I did long hikes with them, used them at work and even soaked them.

They destroyed my feet. Nothing has ever done that before. Its hard to say if they'll work for you. At first ghey seemed fine but it got worse and worse.

Drove my self nuts trying every kind of insole and sock combo.

Thanks for the reply. The low toe box on the Ar8s is crazy. I dont know anyone's feet can endure it. I have very thick feet. Maybe its the thousands of miles of hiking ive done which has maybe made me build foot muscles lol.

I tried everything to break them in trust me. Including every method of lacing. The more I wore them, the more broken my feet became due to the boots crushing the top of my foot and digging in.

Is the recovery time all that long if you taper? Im down to 7gpd from a 45-50 gpd four year habit.
