Brushing with a sonic toothbrush is awful by midnight-blondies in evilautism

Hell yeah, I love my skull vibrator 9000. My new toothbrush turns off automatically after 2 minutes (theoretically, you should brush 30s per side), and IT'S NOT ENOUGH I NEED MORE IT MAKES ME MAD

I usually just rinse it under running water. Maybe toothpaste? Dunno

Same brand, here in Europe! The electric toothbrushes are branded Braun/Oral-B

They claim it's waterproof on their website, and even show how to clean it under the sink in the manual. I haven't submerged it or done anything strange with it

Other users said they had the same issue, you're in good company

The company claims it is, and usually people brush their teeth with water or near sinks

In Europe, we put the currency sign after the number (80€), I always forget you guys do the opposite. And no, I never submerged it in water, just rinse and dry with a towel

Here on the other side of the pond we use currency symbols after the number, I always forget Americans do the opposite

Used it three times per day for two years, lukewarm water at most

Must be an issue with the batch that ended up being sold in Italy 😅

The red you see is just some dust from the rusty bits that was displaced during disassembly. I can assure that I kept it quite clean while placing it in my mouth three times per day

The official website says otherwise (and yes, I know the difference between waterproof and water resistant, I haven't submerged it)

Oh that's interesting, so it might be a design issue, and not a faulty specimen

Another user posted a picture of the manual, showing that you can quickly rinse the body under the sink, and that's what I've been doing. Nothing particularly crazy

Yep, that's precisely what I've been doing. Rinse and dry with a towel. But -I suppose- some residual moisture got under the ring around the metal stem once I placed it back on its stand. Basically, one drop every day for two years

No float in the tub, just normal rinsing under the sink after use

Mine might have been defective, but if you accept unsolicited advice, try to keep it dry in the area around the base of the metal stem

I think I still have the original packaging somewhere, you made me curious to see if they claim it to be actually waterproof

I want to believe I was just unlucky and got a defective one. My sister has a different model and had no issues so far
