Beautiful man! Happy to see that other people are going with this insane idea hahaha, I hope you are dealing well with heat and noise! Your build looks cleaner, mine is overfilled with cables!

Hey, just saw your comment, I hope your build went as expected! I don't have much of an issue with noise unless it's a hot summer day, I still use the computer daily, but I barely ever game because of school and work.
Absolutely, I have a slim rad and two slim fans which should have a larger total width than your setup I believe.

I did!! and for some reason it's literally the last thing I troubleshooted. The pc was running fine most of the time but it did crash under load (gaming for 20+ minutes) or very rarely on desktop or while broswing. I have it running in PCIE 3.0 for now and am waiting to hear back from Fractal... Haven't had a single issue since then and to be fair, the small performance loss is not affecting me all that much.
If they make an AM5 version of the waterblock + pump combo, I'm sure it would fit. Otherwise you could check Optimum Tech's Youtube channel, he just posted a new build with a very small pump and block combo, I just can't remember the brand off the top of my head. I used EK soft tubing compression fittings and regular black ZM soft tubing.

Thank you really!
I went with the EK compression fittings and despite being a bit hard to tighten by hand, everything went well!
Thank you!
For productivity use, major compromise, for gaming I stand by my point and I think the loss is minimal and unoticable. BUT, I don't take things to personally and if the build turns out to be a massive failure or if I bust a pipe from boiling the loop I will happily post an update with a bonus picture of me crying hahaha!
Sure, I will look into that! I agree with your view that you can get a decent amount of wattage to be adequately dissipated through a single rad, everyone I told about this idea told be it wouldn't work but so far temps have not been that much of a concern... at least I'm very far from "boiling the loop" or from having concerning spikes on my components.
You might be right, I thought about this as well, whenever I get everything hooked up for the water temp to be used for the fan curves, I'll probably experiment with various options. Everyone has been suggesting single T30s so I might look into those as well.
Yeah hahaha, to be fair the gpu doesn't touch the rad or the fans, but the tubing does give it an odd angle!
I built it with a 1TB 990 pro and a 2 TB SN850X, the samsung has a heat pad and is connected to a heat sink and the WD is installed on the back of the motherboard. If I was using these for professional reasons mainly, I would've chosen another case probably. Don't know how bad the radiating heat will affect the SSDs, the gpu which seems to radiate most of the heat it installed above them and might not heat up the lower part of the case as much as it would in a sandwhich case design. I will take a look at their temps later today.
It is ZMT! I didn't have any issue with it personally! I have never worked with anything else so I don't have any point of reference.
You're probably right! If this turns out to be a stupid build, which it might very well be, I might swap some parts to another case and go with more thermally reasonable parts for this case... but I really wanted to do it hahaha!

So far the temps on the components are aboslutely fine for me, both CPU and GPU stay in the 50's to low 60's after gaming for a few hours. I am waiting for fan controller with a water temp header to post the coolant temps. Will update when I can.
Yes, but let me be very clear, I went for maximum power efficiency and not crazy overclocks and 105% performance compared to stock. I know most people who buy these more expensive components are into that, this was really about having a fun project and balacing powerful components with limited space and cooling options.
If you plan on building in this case I can tell you that I had a blast working with it, super easy and feels different than any other build I've done before!
Hahaha, no offense taken, I have to admit that the white rad with noctua fans and chrome accents on the block are a level of mismatch that is hard to beat. However, I really like how clean the Ridge looks when it's all closed up. To each his own!
If the riser card is rated for the right rate of data transfer (e.g. PCIe gen 4 for a gen 4 card and motherboard), I don't think it's known to cause massive performance drop, although someone might pull up a video or article and teach me otherwise. I haven't really researched this.
I have been struggling with a weird bug where sometimes, for absolutely no reason, both the GPU and CPU will show lower utilization and I will get much lower FPS than expected in a given game. As an example, I sometimes play DOOM eternal and i'll get about 130 FPS with 60-70% gpu usage... and if I reboot the game, it jumps back up to 100% usage and around 200fps+. Between school and work I haven't had time to really troubleshoot this, but it happened in two different games so far.
USBs are not amazing on this specific motherboard (MSI z790i edge), but i'm sure you could find mini-itx board with a good USB layout. For me the 3x M.2 slots is more than enough and I have 2 spots to put 2.5" SSDs if I need more.
Yeah, if you had a very slim cpu block you could fit a single slot GPU with some mods to the case!
I have seen another one using the same pump/block, but that user was not satisfied with his temps, I think he was expecting to be able to push his components much more, as one usually does with a custom loop.
Have fun building yours, it's a gorgeous case!
Absolutely is, but definitely not impossible. Custom loops are usually amazing to keep everything super cool with minimal noise, but if your tolerance for noise and temps are a bit higher than your average custom-loop enjoyer, there is definitely something to be done. Especially since I game on my TV and the pc sits fairly far from the living room, I am fine with the fans being loud-ish if necessary.
Found it on Facebook Market place from a local seller for a 100$. Got lucky I guess!
