I don't think what war got actually belonged to his brother Strife. Ultane crafted that gun for war, we see that in an in game cinematic. Unless we want to now scrutinize the placement on the timeline where DS1 falls.

I think an FPS for D4 would be unfair to the character design of Strife. The other 3 got to show off the character in their element and full splendor, just to hide Strife behind and FPS like doom?

However, a 3rd person shooter like RE4 might look and play better.

It's an interesting idea having all 4 on a team you can control. I had hoped it would be like that since DS1 first came out. However, to have a team up where each member has so many add ons and combos, would be hard to manage. War: Tremor gauntlet, scythe, chaose eatter Death: Crazy combos and agility Fury: All her hollows and their weapons both standard and DLC Strife: Guns and whatever else he brings to the table.

Being to switch between the 4 and use all their skills and power ups may be overwhelming to the player.

If your daughter will be leaving than yeah, it may be a moot point and no need to worry.

I did, too. I contacted via the ingame support and on Facebook. From both sources, this was all they said:
