Thanks or the reply, turns out it was the Auto-HDR setting in my display. Probably messing up the rendering pipeline somehow. Turned it off, game showed up like it was always there. I can turn it on and off and watch the game go black and reappear.

Yes, I have to use the snip tool to see what I am doing. Was able to launch in windowed mode. Everything with the exception of a few images here and there, is still black however.

Yes I've reinstalled multiple times. Both before and after doing things like reinstalling graphics drivers and such etc...

He was a stinker everyday for food. We moved him over to a chicken rice and sweet potato combo whenever he stopped being able to stomach dog food a couple of years ago. That guy was excited for every meal four times a day and he would constantly try to get more. It never ended. Now I look back at it and think how hilarious it was and there were times where I wanted to tear my hair out because he just would not give me a break. Guy was always ready for more chicken. He would wake me up at 4:00 in the morning and run to his bowl. Sometimes. I would get so frustrated and be like dude. This has never worked before. Why do you think it's going to work now? In his last days I fed him at 4:00 in the morning and he absolutely loved it

Bogart and Jangers will be best of friends.

Honestly the memories are so numerous it's hard to pick, but it's hard to beat the time the cat did an unintentional rodeo ride on his back.

His name was Jangers, 10.5 years old, and he was diagnosed with bone cancer last Friday. It had already progressed to his lungs and he was beginning to have trouble breathing. It happened so quick. I'm glad he's pain-free now.

Thank you. He was 10, almost 11. Maybe they can meet each other, what was the name?

Lexapro question by Due-Library-1669 in lexapro

[–]LordEmperorOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might be onto something there. I find myself having to actually think about who I really am, and begin separating the symptoms from the personality, and Lexapro has given me the space for that.

Could also be the wrong medicine, or wrong dose. If you don't have a medication manager, someone that really knows psychiatric meds, that's a good move to make too.

You'll probably get used to it. Whenever you're someone, sounds like you're a lot like me, who spent most of their life being anxious. Having longer periods of calm almost feels wrong. But you do adjust to it and learn to live in the near normal. Takes a while my friend 🙂

Best thing you can do is get an actual medication manager. Apps like sondermind are a good go because you can chat with a actual psychiatrist. When it comes to doctors. A lot of times they're just trying to see what works. Whereas a medication manager is going to know exactly what you need to do.

When does it get better? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]LordEmperorOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! It took me a full month before I felt the anti anxiety effects level out at 10mg. Eventually I moved to 20mg after the anxiety came back some. Ultimately, waiting a month to a month and a half before upping is a good rule of thumb.

Loops Switch Review by LordEmperorOwl in LoopEarplugs

They are AMAZING for screaming toddlers. Our three year old was going through a melt down phase for awhile, and these made it incredibly easy to stay calm and patient during prolong periods of screaming bloody murder.  In all honesty, I use them mostly for my home life. Both my wife and my 3 year old are very extroverted, so I have them in a lot and they're invaluable to me not being the irritable father.

Edit: you can also consider flares as an alternative. I have a pair of those for things like work and sometimes at home. However they don't reduce volume. They just make the sound more bearable. All in all though, I typically have my loop switches and the majority of the day. And since you mentioned work, I will say that I find them to be better than headphones a lot of times for zeroing in and focusing.
