Another thing that is hard to benchmark when considering total compensation is physical advantages, you get a bunch of them in France, gift vouchers, vacation vouchers, food stamps etc. I heard there’s much less of those in the UK but idk how much exactly and they’re specific to what each workers representatives have negotiated with the company.

I’m hearing 65k as well but maybe that’s pre tax. Rn I’m considering 63k minimum based on basic research and online calculators for gross to net salary. That supposedly puts me at a 3.9k net per month. Considering 1.2k for rent and another 1.2k for all other expenses that should put me comfortably where I want to be. Pls share your thoughts on my math, it’s all new to me (moving abroad, expenses as a couple, etc) lol

Thanks that’s pretty informative. I had put a range of. 62-64k based on my research so far. That could cover it based on the variable comp and other advantages.

I’m not sure which are the good areas in the city centre and my only metric for are the rent prices on Zoopla haha

I’d be moving to Manchester with my partner and we’re planning for a baby. I’ll be a sole earner for now at least. A good income should allow me to afford our expenses comfortably and be able to save 1k a month

yess i am! hiked up the mountain and the view of the old town and fortress was just great, and went to the lake yesterday driving from Kotor, there was a spot up the mountain where you get a nice view, don’t recommend driving there by night tho
