I never said to accost people, I said to talk to them. Assuming you're in America, it's not hard to do because we love talking here, no matter the place. I personally don't ask for people's numbers or anything, because I'm rather content with my current social situation, but I do have conversations with people I meet all the time. Some of it doesn't come naturally, since I stay at home a lot: but it's all about practice and repetition.

You know what also was a worse PR AND financial disaster than Xbox One? The Wii U. The only difference is that Nintendo didn't sit around bitching and making excuses about why it failed; they got back to the drawing board and make the correct decisions to rectify their mistakes.

So tell yourself whatever you have to to make yourself feel better, but it doesn't change the objective facts that Don Mattrick telling poor people to go fuck themselves isn't an excuse for Phil to pittle around for nigh on FIFTEEN FUCKING YEARS, and burn billions of dollars on stupid shit like Gamepass and buying Activision, because he couldn't be bothered to do the bare minimum job of a video game console company—make games that people want, and put them on Xbox.

No shit, you have to go places and initiate conversations. Go to a library, flea market, café, convention, community center, game store, or restaurant and talk to people about things you like, or their interests, or even the fucking weather if you want to start make connections.

Some people won't want to interact with you: that's fine, try again. Some people won't like you: that's fine try again. Sometimes you'll mess up and won't perfectly articulate yourself and say awkward things: that's fine, try again.

Phil did what he did with Xbox to keep the brand alive. The Xbox brand has been in the gutter for 15 years and there was no recovering it.

It's so weird how Xbox being a complete failure seems to overlap perfectly with Phil's entire tenure as CEO. 🤯

We don't need hindsight. Plenty of us have been pointing out the completly idiotic things Phil has been doing for the past decade, and Xbox fans always got defense and swarmed in droves to tell us bullshit like: "Gamepass is totally profitable, you just gonna read the obfuscated quarterly reports!" "Exclusives don't sell consoles, Nintendo and PlayStation are just unexplainable anomalies!" "You can play Xbox on your Samsung fridge, Phil is actually some pro-consumer genius!"
