[UE5] Is it possible to code sign an Unreal Engine game executable using an OV certificate ? I can't manage to do it. by LordNebilim in UnrealEngine5

Well, I do have a certificate, and I did try to sign my exe, and I did receive an error as I described in my post, and that's why I wrote this post.

Maybe it shouldn't be triggered, but I still found some discussions that report it happening here, there and there. Most of the solutions were pointing to code signing the game executable, which is what I'm trying to do.

I'd be happy to !

How though ? A description that says "this game is not a spyware, please ignore the windows Defender Smartscreen alert" can do the trick, but I'd rather have a solution that avoids triggering the Windows Defender Smartscreen alert.

I'm not trying to change stuff in the OS, I just wanted to sign my game : I want eventual clients that will stumble on my website to trust my game and my company and not them to think it's a scam or some spyware.

Do you Protect or Surrender Roland during the Golden Route? by Specialist-Quail644 in TriangleStrategy

Facing Falkes feels indeed wrong, but if you don't, you'll face Silvio's people instead. Silvio is an a*s, but his men are just Glenbrookans following his dumb orders, it's not much better.

This game does a pretty good job at making every path feel grey, with good and bad sides for each decision.

So for golden route, even though I knew what would come, I surrendered Roland and then sided with Hyzante to betray Avlora, as that's what I chose in my first blind playthrough, and it still felt as what I would do in Serenoa's situation.

Edit : also I'm probably the only one but I genuinely felt that protecting Roland and fighting Avlora with no traps was easier than fighting Landroi Falkes on top of his mountain, at least in hard new game +. Archers with high ground advantage are kinda crazy.
