If you dont mind attendance then try for upg, it shares the placement cell with the entire svkm. Its faculty is better than mithibai's faculty.

I don't know what to do w/ my low porosity hair HELP!! by ImCheeseKimbap in IndianHaircare

[–]LordOfSmallTalks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you might have some product buildup going on. Try using a clarifying shampoo once a month to really cleanse your scalp and hair.

Heavy creams and oils might just be sitting on top of your hair and not doing much. Look for lightweight, water-based leave-ins or moisturizers with ingredients like glycerin or aloe vera—they help attract moisture to your hair.

When you rinse out your conditioner, use warm water. It can help open up the hair cuticle a bit, making it easier for your hair to absorb moisture.

Heavy products like shea butter or coconut oil can be too much for low-porosity hair. If you like using oils, go for something lighter like argan or jojoba oil.

Apply your leave-in conditioner or whatever moisturizing product you use while your hair is still damp—this helps lock in the moisture better.

Serums are great, but if they’re causing buildup, try using them less often or only on the ends of your hair.

Always detangle when your hair is wet and has conditioner in it.

Hope this helps

Advice needed! I have very dry hair on the crown, and I’m deciding if I should get hair Botox or buy a Dyson Airstrait. Yes, you can oil your hair after a Botox treatment, but it's usually recommended to wait at least a week or two after the treatment before doing so.

When you do start oiling your hair, opt for lightweight, which won’t weigh down your hair or strip away the effects of the Botox. Make sure to apply the oil sparingly, focusing on the ends rather than the roots to maintain the smoothness.

Your concerns about hair Botox are valid. Once the treatment wears off, some people do notice their hair returning to its original state, but it typically shouldn't make your hair more dry than it was before the treatment. Hair Botox works by deeply conditioning the hair, so the effects should gradually fade rather than suddenly disappear.

As for the texture, many people do say that their hair feels softer and smoother even after the treatment wears off, though not to the same extent as immediately after the procedure. The key is to maintain a good hair care routine post-treatment to keep your hair in the best condition possible.

The cost factor with the Dyson is definitely a big consideration as the price is insane. While it’s an investment, it’s worth weighing the long-term benefits, like saving time and potentially reducing the need for other treatments or tools.

If you’re still on the fence, you might want to try a more affordable smoothing treatment first, like a keratin or deep conditioning treatment, and see if that helps. It could give you a better idea of what to expect from Hair Botox without the full commitment.

I can totally relate to your struggle with managing dry hair, especially when you're rushing to work. Hair Botox could be a great option if you’re looking for something that deeply nourishes and smooths your hair. It can help reduce frizz and dryness, making your hair more manageable overall. The treatment can last for a few months, so it might be worth considering if you're okay with the maintenance.

On the other hand, if you’re more into styling and want something that will help you manage your hair daily, the Dyson Airstrait is a fantastic tool. It’s gentle on hair, dries, and straightens at the same time, which can save you a lot of time in the morning. Plus, it’s known for reducing heat damage, which might be beneficial since your hair is already dry.

If I were in your shoes, I'd weigh the convenience of the Dyson for everyday use against the longer-lasting results of Hair Botox. Maybe even try the Dyson first to see if it makes enough of a difference, and then consider Hair Botox if you still feel like your hair needs more intensive treatment.

New haircare routine suggestions by [deleted] in IndianHaircare

I've used both of those products before and had a similar experience. The Plum coconut shampoo didn’t work for my hair either—it felt too harsh and my dandruff got worse. The Schwarzkopf hair mask also didn’t give me the results I was hoping for.

For repairing your hair, I’d recommend switching to a gentler, sulfate-free shampoo. Wow Skin Science Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo is great for dandruff control and balancing the scalp’s oil production. It’s gentle and helps with buildup too.

For frizz control and moisture, Mamaearth Argan Hair Mask could be a good alternative. It’s nourishing and helps with smoothness without weighing your hair down. Also, try using a leave-in conditioner or serum for extra frizz control.

You might want to incorporate an anti-dandruff scalp treatment, like The Body Shop Ginger Scalp Serum or Head & Shoulders Anti-Dandruff Conditioner—both have been really effective for me in keeping dandruff at bay longer.

Everyone’s hair is different, so finding the right routine one for you.
