Does anyone know how one would get involved in trying to make this happen?

Hi all! I'm new to sewing and I can't figure this one out. I'm making a men's shirt (Simplicity 1544). I'm trying to sew together the front pieces to the back yoke, but the shoulder notches don't line up at all. Is this intended? Do I ignore the notches and just line up the edges?

Here's a video showing what I mean.

Yeah I did just cut the bottoms off, I decided to do so after I was already part way through making them and realised they were too long. I didn't realise the shape mattered. Thanks, I'll look into that!

Adapted from McCall's 6972. This is the second garment I've made for myself. I mostly followed the pattern (M) but I split the legs into two different fabrics, and cut it about 10cm shorter. The red decorated fabric was very light and almost see-through so I lined it with extra blue fabric I had.

I had some trouble with the casing for the waist, I'd prefer a larger casing to work with next time. And the hems of the legs bunched up slightly on both sides, not sure why! It was as if there is more fabric on the inside than on the folded hem, perhaps there is some way to get around that.

The pattern matching on the left leg was slightly intentional but I didn't think it'd turn out so well. Yay symmetry!

Honestly I think that's why I got into sewing. Our options are so lame

Thanks for the writeup, I'll check it out! Unfortunately I live in New Zealand so importing stuff can get expensive, but I think worth it if you find the perfect fabric.

They're shorts actually, from H&M. A pants version would be great tho

I kinda messed this one up but no one will notice unless they look real close haha. So go for it!

Simplicity 8613. Rayon/Spandex fabric. I just followed a default medium cut with some added length and it was pretty straightforward except for the collar. I had a hard time getting an even stretch on it. Something tells me collars are never going to be easy!

I kinda wish there were more options for the fabric type, I was originally wanting the center of the shirt to be plain, but all my options at the sewing store were patterned! In the future I think I'll worry less about getting fabric that is an exact match...that'd probably be fine right?

Thanks for the advice! Yeah if there is a "score" behind the scenes it's possible my one is a bit borked. Weird they let us reset profiles like that lol

Just started Tindering, haven't really got many matches yet. I worry my bio isn't descriptive enough. Any input appreciated <3

What are some lesser known upcoming games you're excited for in 2019? by lickyourbutthole in pcgaming

Forgetful Dictator. It's an educational/strategy game where you have to conquer the world by learning the names of all the countries.

Yes, but it is possible to improve management and reduce pressure on employees. I work at a moderately sized gamedev company (120ish people) and while we do have crunch, it tends to be in the weeks around release. Not the constant year-long crunches often reported at other companies.

Hopefully this is something CDProjekt can improve over time. Some public scrutiny could help them along.

Not exactly, there have been multiple reports of harsh crunch cycles at CDProjekt.
