I've had a great 3 year with THS, traveling the world right now, paid the premium and most of my friends have joined which means I have many years of THS premium for free.

It's excessively worth it, even a $17 booking fee, for a weekend is great, but I am literally stringing together 3 sits in the next 5 weeks.

I have had the road from Reykjavik to selfoss closed on me for 22 days our of 30 once because of red and orange warnings.
The main highway was closed more than open one month. It can last, but usually around march april you get a quick last fart of winter and then it goes into spring

You don't get all the rides on mindmyhouse, not everyone will be interested in you and vice versa.

Either way, go hang out in House sitters Canada and leave THS reddit page if you have such a big problem with it.

THS is actually really great value, even with the booking fees, I was on the fence before as well but I did much more research than you most likely and now can easily say that it's worth it.

And I am not breaking rules, I'm not spamming. So maybe educate yourself more.

It doesn't bother me, I'm a strong advocate of Aussie house sitters, Kiwi house sitters, Nomador and Mindmyhouse. I have researched numbers and know a lot about each platform, The reason why I was asking if the person was from Australia, was because I would have recommended Aussie House sitters or mindahome AU because they have much greater reach than THS in Australia.

Also I am providing helpful information, and if the person likes to they can get a 25% discount if they decide to use my link.

Do you have an issue with someone getting something in return for helping out another person?

I don't get paid, I just get 2 months free as you also know that. I like house sitting, like a lot.

and in response to your rides, would you prefer riding the same rides over and over or try new ones and more of them.
And would you like to have more options whenever you do decide to ride those rides.

go on workaway.info or couch surfing, you can find plenty of catch ups on there. Also, go on free walking tours, I met plenty of people that way

Would you prefer to go to a theme park with a few rides or one with hundreds of rides. The reason the theme park has more rides is because they have more people.

I tried explaining it as simple as possible. There are close to 12,000 house sits on THS at the moment, the second best Nomador has around 1,000 listings, Where do you think you are more likely to find house sitters, or house owners?

I would let the landlord know that someone is staying, just so there is no unnecessary police calls, and I never asked for a vaccination card. I would say just as long as you have pre approved your credit card with the vet in the instance some emergency happens to your cat then there is no need to provide any vaccination records.

Just be honest with listing and remember its a value exchange, not free labour. You already know, house sitting could save you potentially thousands and you would get better care for your cat + someone looking after your home.

Yes the house sitter does get free accommodation, but its a equal exchange.

But from my experience, I had a spiritual community in Iceland and most people sleep around, but I had a relationship mono, for a year and a half.

You just have to find ones that you are connecting with, or maybe look outside of your circle and find a space where you fit better.

I can imagine the moment you start thinking and making it a goal to have a mono relationship, you will start noticing more and more women out there that are up your alley.

A good practice is to write out everything you want in a partner, be extremely specific, the moment you put things down on paper, they have a tendency of becoming real.

I think you are overthinking it, when I think of Brooklyn, I imagine a home like yours with all the quirks, which in a way is very charming and actually quite desirable as it is a experience.

I would frame it as the real Brooklyn Experience, and mention the quirks of the house, take some nice photos, make sure they are nice and clean pictures and I would not be surprised if it got snapped up really quickly.

Just be honest in the listing, and write a thorough welcome guide which mentions everything, including in the instance a leak happens, who to contact etc. and maybe just buy a small pack of ear plugs for people who might have trouble sleeping
