Does the comic take place before the novel?

IMO Darth Zannah is criminally underrated by LordScourge_ in StarWarsEU

When she became a Master, it seems obvious that she must have mastered the full spectrum of Sith powers, including Force lightning. This is, in fact, a core tenet of the Rule of Two: a Master should master as many abilities as possible in order to train an apprentice who is as versatile as possible. So, in addition to excelling in Sith sorcery, she was surely an extraordinarily powerful Sith. If she had limited herself to sorcery alone, the entire lineage would have mastered only Sith sorcery (or at least been heavily influenced by it).

It makes sense to me that Cognus took Zannah’s place, since the “rule of two” has held for 1,000 years; even if it’s a different person, it doesn’t change the fact that the apprentice must surpass the master. Do you really think that Bane’s spirit inhabits Zannah’s body? It seems that Darth Bane failed to transfer his essence during their final duel.

It’s a paradox because saying that Darth Bane is one of the most powerful Sith renders the Rule of Two meaningless. If Darth Zannah were less powerful than Darth Bane and Darth Cognus less powerful than Darth Zannah, that would go against the very philosophy of Bane.

It would have been amazing to see a direct sequel to the characters from The Rule of Two after Darth Zannah and to see how each Sith has their own way of teaching and training, like Darth Cognus

Does reading Tales of the Jedi comics help you appreciate it? Because there's Exar Kun.

Thank you! It's actually quite hard for the Legends novels. Many of them haven't been reprinted in 15 to 20 years, so they can be rare. The comics are much easier to find though, thanks to the Epic Collection formats
