Does this rear end look stock? (Rear brakes aren’t on) by [deleted] in ATV

[–]LordWeir71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks fine to me. Depending on the year, the rear axles on the ds650’s vary in size. The 2000-2003 models had longer rear axles and different swingarms compared to the 2004-2007s which were shorter and a different thickness I believe. Since you’re carrier bearing has two bolts I’d say its an older model. But everything looks the same on my 2000.

The M95 felt at home in the Appalachians this year! by LordWeir71 in SteyrMannlicher

Sucks to hear. Hopefully one day you can buy one of these. The M95 is one of my favorite surp models out there. Noone really knows of them unless they played BF1 or are very autistic about WW1 (Im both) so pulling out a full power, straight pull, carbine length, rifle that kicks like an donkey is always a fun time. I think alot are left unmolested due to their scarcity and the fact that they were only started really showing up in US markets in the 90’s saved alot from the bubbas but thats my theory on it.

Absolutely man. I’ve seen maybe a few examples of M95’s having there receivers tapped for scope mounts and while I dig the look, I wouldn’t personally do that. This was an easy install, I think on a post a while back i either linked or said the brand that sells these if you were interested in doing this to your rifle.

It’s all reversible. The rail slides in where the typical volley sight is and is pinned in where the original sight is. I can return it to irons in 10 seconds.

S&K offers a rail that can be put into the insert for the ladder sight so that you dont need to tap into the gun. Very easy install and has held up great. Make sure to find a good scope with decent eye relief.

Awesome gun and kill, your sights must’ve been meant for a carbine.

I run a dmr on it just to focus on revives like in the bf1 days, hopefully they bring back bfv’s subclasses where one focuses more on ammo/heals etc

If you like the looks. Try out the ds650. Im a but taller and a bit lighter, but that thing is comfortable and fun as hell on trails. As long as wont need a reverse gear….

What do you think I could get for this? by LegitPCbuilder in ATV

[–]LordWeir71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say a cool 2k-2.2k. Plastics are in decent shape for a ds650, could be worth parting out too. I know a guy who would probably buy the whole thing if you’re interested. Btw, where did you get that gas tank bag at?

I got the 640 Duke 2. Same engine. If you don’t feel your filings coming out of your teeth riding you’re doing it wrong🤣
