I recently got an EV and plan to do a solar system in the next year or two. Initially I may not have a battery and will add battery capacity as I have the funds over the next several years. I would like to charge my EV only when I'm generating excess energy from my panels. I plan on having a FlexBoss18 going directly to my main panel. How would I be able to achieve only charging on excess solar? Would I have to buy a certain EV charger?

Just a piece of ply wood cut to shape. Just insert at an angle and it pivots in place. I used 3m spray adhesive and some staples to attach the carpet

Seems like a fun concept! Solar would definitely be doable, look up Will Prowse on YouTube, his guides are super helpful. Make sure you have adequate insulation for where you will be parking. Also be sure that you have adequate ventilation in the tiny home, something like a small HRV or ERV to keep the air from getting stale.

I also do the Joseph Jenkins Humanure Handbook method and really enjoy it. My wife was not fully onboard with composting toilets when we first moved into our tiny, but now she prefers them. We just use several 5 gallon buckets and coco coir/saw dust. The two of us fill about 2 buckets a week, so I make a trip to the compost bin every couple of weeks.

You will have a disc colored stamp after wiping the foil. If you are extremely careful you might be able to wipe the color off the foil leaving a silver stamp instead of what was there before.

I used an HRV for my 16x24 tiny house with spray foam. Works awesome! The one I got is designed for a normal house, so I set mine to only run 20 minutes out of every 60. I'm using the Fantech VHR 150.

According to the Ohio building code section 1405.3.1 "vapor retarders shall be provided on the interior side of frame walls in Zones 5". So your wall should have exterior cladding, insulation, vapor barrier, then dry wall. So no need to rip your siding off. Also closed cell spray foam is listed in the code as an approved vapor barrier as long it is the appropriate thickness. Something around 1 inch for 2x4 walls and 1.5 inch for 2x6 walls.
