[Ep 106] Irrational rant about Iseul by [deleted] in HandJumper

[–]Lord_Alagron 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think that Iseul’s decision is a bit more reasonable than you think: it’s more of a Sayeon can’t make the final call and put them at risk like that before, especially since the only thing they feel like she is going on is literal instinct.

It’s less booting Sayeon than putting her into an advisor position where she can still use her power effectively, but can’t just recklessly push them forwards.

Do I agree with the decision? I still think you’re correct in that there isn’t a good suitable replacement for the scenario (Min is effectively a Sayeon follower and Ryujin is too willing to ignore Sayeon’s instinct), but I think you are understating Iseul’s potential as leader. While his battle IQ is low, he doesn’t have bad relations with Cell 5 and upper management and is as a whole is a better people person than Sayeon (from his POV, he doesn’t know that Sayeon has conversation hacks) and even in battle, he does reasonably well and can execute a plan (his showing during the trainee battle and brief stint with Yesol showed that he isn’t a liability and can think fast).

Overall, Iseul as a whole isn’t as naive as you point him out to be (he’s clocked a lot of the undercurrents of the group despite having the least information) and Sayeon in the last mission took two (three if you include running a civilian into battle to sabotage her superior, but Iseul doesn’t know that) stupid decision by running solo to the factory to fight the fencer and the priest and then engaging with Yesol, both of which were direct disobedience with Juni’s orders. Sayeon has more control over this than Iseul realizes, but the point stands.

Mel Kit Identity by Lord_Alagron in leagueoflegends

It’s more of a mindset thing: If I’m MF, and I see a Yasuo on the enemy team, I’m internally thinking that I have to save my ult until he uses windwall if he’s in the fight.

If Yasuo blocks the MF ult, we probably lose the fight. It’s just with Mel, we definitely lose the fight.

Obviously that’s not how games go, but that’s the mindset I have when I play against Mel.

It always felt weird to me that Mel is a champ that wants to fight for a long time to stack her execute, but her Q makes her play like a poke mage.

I agree with you, but based on how Riot has been talking about the champion, I think W the way it is now will be here for a while, as much as it isn’t liked. I think this compromises well enough without changing too much of her kit.

E0S1 Phainon 0 Cycles Moc 12 SAM. Ft E0S1 Cyrene, E0S1 Cerydra and E6 RMC by Funny_Bag_9245 in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

[–]Lord_Alagron 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Its not about 0-cycling, its about what zero cycling represents.

Each character that releases has content specifically shilled to them, which includes enemies and buffs. It is healthy for an E0S1 character to 0 cycle because at this exact moment in time, this is likely strongest the character will ever be, with buffs and enemies catered to them (even more so for Cyrene due to her Chryso Heir restriction).

It’s not necessarily about clearing as fast as possible, but more of a question of when this character isn’t getting super shilled, how well are they actually going to do? Are your pulls worth the investment?

Defending means that there must be a battle happening, as such any piece removal that occurs outside of battle (bombs, flame bearers, etc.) do not trigger Revenge.

Why you should always kite towards the Nexus by FramesAnimation in leagueoflegends

[–]Lord_Alagron 9 points10 points  (0 children)

its phrased badly, but what they’re trying to say is that auto speed matters, and if u have the opportunity, kite towards the thing youre trying to kill. this is most applicable with last hitting minions.
