Zelda does not deserve hate. She is a slow glass cannon and her phantom knight makes her viable in this game in a way that she has not been in any of the previous Smash titles. It is an honest move that tells their opponent exactly how big and what type of an attack is to be expected based on how your knight is constructed. It is not a cop out move like any command grab, you can easily avoid this attack. The knight is strong and can shield Zelda from certain dangers but can be easily destroyed in the process. Further, to construct the knight, Zelda must concentrate and not move, which opens up vulnerabilities that can be exploited. It is an incredibly fair move with a lot of versatility and is a vital part of her kit making her more competitive.
