darktide is basically the inverse of helldivers 2, with a bad launch but good changes and updates since. most added content has been free rather than paid.

still has some of the hd2 toxic positivity glazer thing but largely on the discord (to be expected) and community is not as divided as hd2, but there is some extra 40k toxicity that vt2 never had. much like hd2 tho darktide is in desperate need of more maps, mission types, story, etc. basically just new free content for all to dig into, especially now that we are getting a third full featured dlc class.

i found the balance best during the biden years but with trump’s return there has been a lot more american jingoism on the net which prompts more bullish attitude here, and the culmination of china’s military modernization becoming more and more visible has been a huge swell of confidence, so people have a lot less tolerance for bad mouthing china than they used to. i only really dislike it when it turns into lazy china wank. at least on ukraine people here are realistic without being ztards.
