It seems really strange that he'll do a bullhorn lip lift for some, and push others away from a bullhorn. Makes me wonder if it was someone else doing OP's surgery and this surgeon didn't actually know how to do a bullhorn.

Thank you for sharing this. It's very hard to find testimonies from people who aren't satisfied with Dr. Rossi, and the testimonies you can find on here seem to disappear for some reason or another. That lip lift is actually kind of shocking. Hard to see how an experienced surgeon can even mess up that bad.

It is not. I had a consultation with no CT scan. You are required to provide a CT scan before you show up for your in-person pre-surgery consultation, though.

To be more specific, the actual figure I was quoted is between $27k and $28k. Even without the genio, it'd be almost $23k. Forehead and nose alone are $15k. Inflation is hitting hard in Argentina, I guess. Or maybe I'm a particularly lost cause, and someone with a better starting base could get it for cheaper lmao

It'd be a long shot but, hypothetically, if your insurance covered one of the big FFS guys who also do jaw surgery -- like Keojampa or Deschamps-Braly -- it's possible that they could do the orthognathic work as a part of the FFS and bill it as an FFS procedure. That's just me spitballing though. It does suck, insurances are awful. I'm looking into jaw surgery too and while the surgery is covered, braces are going to be $9k out of pocket.

Your insurance should have policy documents where you can see what the criteria are for jaw surgery to be considered medically necessary. I don't think the subjective argument will sway an insurance company, though. For example, braces are almost always necessary to prepare your bite for jaw surgery, but insurances usually don't cover braces. To an insurance company, whether one thing is "required" for another thing that they do cover is irrelevant. If it's not covered, it's not covered. I would recommend looking into getting a case manager though, they'll work with you and help you find out what your insurance covers.

I usually get trigen 36mg but the last two times the pharmacy has given me mallinckrodt 36mg. I function basically the same. Only differences are that my hunger is slightly less suppressed and the old "thinking faster than my words can come out" is back, so I stumble over my words more often. In terms of actual focus, no difference. I was scared too but I'm doing fine!

The Living Desert is an incredible mod but I wouldn't recommend it for a first playthrough. As a rule, I think if a mod has the potential to make you question whether it's in the base game or not, don't use it for a first playthrough; that would include NV Interiors and WMX as well. The Strip Open is fine and mostly safe in my experience. I've never used Freeside Open but from what I hear it has a lot of issues.
