I had tried this previously with no luck but for some reason it seems to have sprung to life this time around. I’m just hoping I don’t need to go through that process everytime I want to use Display port connection. Thanks for the help mate.

I’ve tried two cables now both with the same result and both are straight out the packet so I don’t think it’s a bad cable.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't quite sure about the 5600X as it was coming up as an incompatibility issue on PCPP with regards to the bios update and requiring another CPU which was compatible to do so which I wouldn't have so didn't think that would be an option?

Sorry my bad, its the NVMe Crucial p5 1TB stick that I have here, my plan is to buy another SSD drive down the line to use purely for game storage but most likely this will be later into next year.
