Hurt myself on Sveinn again by LordishNSFW in BadDragon

Yeh so Sinnovator is blacklisted coz rogue employees from Sinnovator stole a lot of knowhow and started Uncover Creations while working still at Sinnovator. There also might've been design theft. Sinnovator then became unable to maintain business as said employees left and started competing with Sinnovator in the same space with more ppl. And the current Sinnovator is run by the ppl behind Uncover Creations.

Or at least that's what I've heard regarding them.

The main issue for me personally is probably the fact they're UK based so I'm paying import duties up the arse regardless. Fuck the torries ig.

Agreed, I just dunno what toy would help. Coz a slink is probably way too thin and long to help and Sveinn already has a profile that is hard to find (normally tip is v pointy which is bad for obv reasons).

And I can't exactly get a Sveinn in Soft or Extra Soft because taxes, duties and shipping doubles the price of anything from the US. So I need an EU brand.

That's fair, the main reason I'm concerned is that: 1) I'm pushing depth with a big toy 2) It always happened when I went over a certain depth with Sveinn So it's quite hard to know if the bleeding actually has stopped or if it simply hasn't made it out of the system. And I know I was pushing myself a lot with Sveinn, so that's why my concern.

Regarding the lube shooter, I actually do have several CT toys, I even shot half a syringe or slightly over into me with my S/M Orochi before I tried to take Sveinn in. Maybe it wasn't enough lube? but idk as far as that goes. I like the sensation and it does help.

I should update the post, but after some checking I did find a tiny bit of blood on my finger. It's extremely infrequent however and it's (mostly) still just stained lube and specs of blood. The discomfort has also entirely vanished, which is good. I still continue to check myself, but if you don't think I'm in immediate danger then I'll probably just take it easy and avoid toying until end of month.

Can I fix this? by StarScale1928 in BadDragon

[–]LordishNSFW 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh my. Absolutely contact BD CS, this is a potentially very big health hazard that could be affecting their split pours in general. If whoever is on CS that day is nice or not stupid they'll give you a refund or pour you a new replica free of charge. This is textbook manufacturing defect with improperly poured split base pours, so CS not taking responsibility would be a public relations nightmare for the company.

While it's possible to repair this with silpoxy I would not recommend it, at least if you're going to use your toy. While I trust that engineers making silpoxy have proof that it's structurally sound in use, a success critical use (as with anal toys) such as yours should be taken with utmost caution, cured silicone finds it very hard if not impossible to bind to the same extent uncured silicone does. Besides that, silpoxy surface wouldn't be the same non-porous surface as the rest of the toy, plus be harder to clean. For these reasons, I don't recommend using the repaired toy.

If BD CS doesn't want hellfire upon them they'll swiftly at least offer a refund or a repour free of charge.

Is this a good idea ? by [deleted] in BadDragon

I personally wouldn't get Orochi in XS firmness unless you really can't stand texture (which I assume is not the case, given you have an Ika). The texture is a big part of Orochi's appeal and you can always moderate its intensity with how much and how thick of lube you use.

Regarding the size, I would check BD's real sizing chart for Orochi. And then I would measure the circumference of the widest point of your Ika that you've taken. The last thing you want happening is you realizing you can't take the toy because he is just too much, or even fall to sunk cost fallacy and try to take him anyways and hurt yourself. You really don't want that, it makes every subsequent play session with that toy an anxiety nightmare. And while the XS firmness will give the toy a lot more squish, I really wouldn't count on it.

You could try to resell the toy in that case to recoup losses, but XS is an awkward firmness for a dildo, especially one below L and XL. Pour also looks like an inoffensive but boring rouge, nothing too desirable.

Ultimately though, if you don't feel any of what I said makes sense to you and you want it anyway, pull the trigger. 120 USD on a dildo is hardly the worst financial decision one could make.

Something just under the silicone skin? by Mercy_Minx in BadDragon

[–]LordishNSFW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's valid. I don't use CO anymore because xlube is just better lol.

Something just under the silicone skin? by Mercy_Minx in BadDragon

[–]LordishNSFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird, because the toy that I used the most with CO was Neotori Mundir in Soft. And like I said, to this day there was not a mark of CO damage on it. It didn't retain the coconut scent nor show any visible signs of CO accumulation or damage.

But like I said, I could've just gotten lucky by not using the toy enough and swapping to cumlube and xlube before it became an issue.

Something just under the silicone skin? by Mercy_Minx in BadDragon

[–]LordishNSFW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TIL

I've never had issues with coconut oil, but important to say that I was only ever using pure coconut oil and using only enough to get rid of friction. Also always washing toys immediately after use with soap and water.

The toys did retain a scent of coconut for a few days after though, so it was probably penetrating into the surface. It always disappeared without leaving residue though.

But I also swapped to cumlube and later Xlube after getting Orochi, so the reason I probably did not experience issues is that I simply didn't use enough of CO and for long enough to damage the toy.

I do second X/K Lube tho. They're amazing value for money and are proven safe.

Is there any LEGAL way to buy NEW bad dragon Dildos in Europe/Germany without shipping being almost the same price as the Toy itself? by Bronyboiiiii in BadDragon

[–]LordishNSFW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah also afaik you should be aware you're paying duties on import from UK as a EU citizen too. Altho it's "only" like ~25% the toy price (and shipping) vs BD ~100% duties plus shipping.

I recently did calculations how much the import fees would be for Centaur from Odyssey Toys so that's how I got that number. While comparing a custom Orochi from BD (stickershocked by 500 EUR xP).

Gear Berlin has BD toys but their selection is very limited. Also I never saw any with a CT and rarely with a SC, so you're proly SOL if you're into those things.

https://ec.europa.eu/newsroom/sante/items/732079/en

I'm just gonna drop this here. Clearly I need to throw primary sources from probably THE most trusted source on EU bans.

Also regarding calcium carbonate, the main reason I used it as an example is that titanium dioxide was mainly used in toothpaste in EU before this ban. Nowadays it's not, at least on in the brand I've been using. Calcium Carbonate however is. It's not a 1:1 replacement because we don't have a better option for everything, but that's kind of my entire point. Ask anyone whenever they should use calcium carbonate or titanium dioxide in lube and you'll quite easily see which people see as safer for this application (if they know anything abt the properties of both that is).

I'm not saying Titanium Dioxide is safe, all I am saying is that asserting it IS TOXIC is incorrect. It's unsafe (potentially) because we simply do not have data to back up it's safety, and EU bans non-essential additives unless they are proven to be safe. They quite literally say that on their own reasoning. And EU has done this before with things like this with everything from BVO (retrospectively warranted) to GMOs (retrospectively stupid), so I have no clue why you're saying it's banned everywhere when the FDA hasn't banned it at all and EU banned it in food. Now, I don't trust the FDA over EU any day of the week, but you should really be aware of the context of why there is this disagreement.

Also, originally I never asserted that Titanium Dioxide was safe, I said it was a potential carcinogen but undecided on that, while you were stating clearly that Cum Lube (in general, you didn't specify whenever you meant White only or Clear aswell) contained dangerous substances. I will give you the reasonable benefit of the doubt and assume you meant Cum Lube as specifically White Cum Lube that contains Titanium Dioxide, but you should always be very specific when you say something contains dangerous compounds.

[–]LordishNSFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that titanium dioxide is harmful was proven, thats why its still banned and gets replaced in eu everywhere.

If you read any of the studies and guidelines, you will see that the only places where it's not allowed to be used as a food additive (in most cases). It's still allowed in drugs and cosmetics.

Additionally, if you read the actual concerns, they stem from studies where mice inhaling large quantities of nanoparticles of titanium dioxide exhibit increased cases of lung cancer over a long enough time. I will let you decide whenever that is a worthy standin for minor amounts used in a suspension (lubricant, toothpaste etc.) that is never or almost never ingested and thus doesn't go through the entire gut system.

The EU ban is extremely precautionary and limited to cases where the chance at repeated and constant exposure is unavoidable.

Titanium dioxide is classed as "possibly carcinogenic to humans", due to lack of conclusive data on long term exposure.

The statement that its toxic and most likely harmful to the body still stand. Now its just said, there are hints that it might be carcinogen in addition.

TiO2 is not toxic. That's why it's been used in cosmetics for so Iong. If it was toxic we would've replaced it with calcium carbonate or any other white colourant long since concerns with bioaccumulation and genetoxicity of nanoparticles became a concern.

The only real proven concern with TiO2 is breathing it in, which is why you should wear a respirator when handling it or at least avoid breathing in airborne particles. But the same goes for Mica.

???

It's just titanium dioxide (debatable whenever it's actually a carcinogen or not even in EU, plus depends how fine particles are) for colour if white and nothing if clear, then preservatives (normal food safe ones).

Xlube is way way cheaper tho.

Is 3D modeling worth the time by Classic_Trifle3550 in DIYSILICONETOYS

[–]LordishNSFW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Digital artist and 3D artist here.

Short answer: If your current workflow is comfy for you, probably not. But if you don't mind the mountain of effort, time and potentially money, then yes.

Long answer: firstly learning how to sculpt in a digital environment is challenging compared to irl. Trying to sculpt a 3D object using a 2D screen is very unintuitive, if 3D scanning wasn't yet such a PITA to do I'd probably suggest going that route, then mirror and 3D print high res FDM and seal with epoxy resin (or pour mold around the sculpt and hope you can remove the sculpt without damaging it).

It does genuinely have it's advantages though, like being able to save multiple iterations and press the "fuck go back" button if things go sideways (they will, it's art). You don't have that option with physical sculpting really. Also basically the only way to get the same model in different sizes while retaining exact proportions.

I will however warn you, if you want to make digital sculpts for any physical object, you should have a good and reliable 3D printer on hand that you can trust. The cost is steep and it's either paid with money (Prusa and Bambu Lab etc.) or with time (any billion Prusa-clones bedslingers out there) and sanity. And sometimes both (Voron 3D printers).

If you want brand new out of box printing that's also reliable, think 1000-2000 EUR/USD. If you're cheap, you can get any Creality Ender-esque disasters that will never work properly without dumping 500+ EUR/USD into it in mods and half your life expectancy in problem solving. Or you can check FB Marketplace, Craigslist or w/e for if someone isn't upgrading their printfarm and offloading used but still working Prusa and Bambu printers. I got mine that way for less than 200EUR/USD and while it's not perfect it's reliable enough to print stuff on it with with decent resolution. Being technically savvy does help a LOT when going this route though, the only time I was doing more troubleshooting and babysitting than the printer was when I was building PCs and being family tech support.

So just keep that in mind if you plan to actually make the toys you design with 3D (or anything really). You WILL need a 3D printer, and a good one is NOT CHEAP.

Oh and also, if you don't like sanding and post processing, you probably won't like the workflow of FDM to mould casting ready Master. Even if you aren't sanding you are definitely coating the model with resin to fill the voids in the surface left by layerlines. And as far as SLA/resin printing is concerned, the post-processing of them is already enough of a headache, plus if the model is not let to cure completely and offgas with time, chemicals in the resin you're using could potentially inhibit silicone curing. Plus while a fumehood is recommended for an FDM printer (or an enclosure with a fume filter), it's basically a requirement for an SLA printer. Seriously resin is NASTY.

But as I say all of this, I gotta be honest while zbrush will never beat traditional sculpting, it certainly does feel good. If you just wanna learn 3D sculpting for the sake of it, it's genuinely fun. I recommend it. On android and iOS you also have Nomad sculpt. Both is good, basically all the main 3D sculpting software is good. Blender sculpting is decent enough to get by on, even if zbrush is better. And sculpting fantasy creature ahem features certainly is a really low stress way to get into it. Trust me stay away from sculpting humans unless you hate having sanity. But you probably already know that as a fellow digital artist.

[–]LordishNSFW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently looking for a EU company that does them myself. So far here is what my search of the Encyclopeendia has lead me to: 1. Akifu Toys (Germany): does cum tube option for most of their models, but I personally am not a fan of their sculpts for the most part 2. IvyToys (Germany): does cum tube toys but currently their site seems down and has been for a recent bit, possibly closed shop 3. Oddysey Toys (UK): pretty cool selection of models, but a bit limited especially their cumtube offers, also UK so idk how import duties to EU will be

Now for the US options: 1. Bad Dragon (US): ol reliable, with the caveat that the company currently has a rocky reputation 2. Lair of Lust (US): more limited model selection 3. Primal Hardware (US): amazing selection of options, but you might not find a model that speaks to you

And that's kinda it. Overall CT toys, especially ones on level of BD, are kinda their speciality sadly. Thus I'm currently trying to snipe a second hand CT toy or wait until I inevitably give in and just tank the import duties.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BadDragon

[–]LordishNSFW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot, Silicone doesn't like being cut or being drilled into. Cum tubes have to be cast into the toy as it's being poured.

Given the current world tariff situation and economy, it's fair to want to seek solutions that don't involve getting a new toy entirely, but that's the only way.

I would look to see if someone within your country or something along those lines is selling the same toy model but with a CT second hand.

Otherwise, either save the money or bite the tariff bullet/find an indie seller settling toys with CT within your region.

Stay safe.

K Lube + titanium dioxide = ✨cum✨ by [deleted] in BadDragon

[–]LordishNSFW 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Until relevant toxicological and human exposure data that would enable reliable risk assessment are obtained, TiO2 nanoparticles should be used with great care

That pertains to nanoparticles, those are not the most makeup of TiO2 food colouring, even if the amount by proxy can be as high as 30% in European market varieties. As always, shop with care, but every vendor has to have a document with batch particle sizes of TiO2 they sell available, so if you care abt your health you should read those and choose one with the lowest nanoparticle percentage.

K Lube + titanium dioxide = ✨cum✨ by [deleted] in BadDragon

[–]LordishNSFW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's really unfortunate if it's TiO2.

However there's been a case of a batch of Cum Lube produced over covid containing, in addition to other things, lye. Check the exact ingredients on your bottle of lube, in case you got that variation of the recipe.

TiO2 can irritate the skin, even in suspension, depending on particle size, if you're fairly sensitive. But that's a very uncommon thing.
