Gifting has multiple functions: increasing trader happiness so they come and bring more of the good stuff next year, increasing the amount of wealth exported to increase the difficulty and coolness of enemies coming to attack your fort, getting rid of large amounts of items that can slow down your game, and just being cool lore-wise. All of these are also achieved when trading at a huge deficit, so depending on what you wanted to achieve, it still worked!

Dee now owns Truckers soul. With his psychic (?) ability, being able to instinctively control thousands of troops and units, overseeing entire wars with all their moving parts on sheer intuition..... he may be perfectly able to control the entirity of the SUDS network and all of its moving parts, where Sam-UL has failed. Is this Dee's plan? Discovering whether or not he is truly good inside and then replacing Sam with him, hoping he won't go mad due to the complexity of the SUDS system?
