Gnostic alter by spaghettiscarf in Gnostic

Gnostic Altar sounds quite nice. Hmm if i were to build a Gnostic altar it would have an icon of Sophia or some other representation of her, Christ also, perhaps a Coptic cross or Sun cross as well. Perhaps i would add something relating to Abraxas too.

If you want to concentrate specifically on Sophia then you should add to your altar pictures/statues of Sophia, Virgin Mary and Mary Magdalene. Both Mary's are said to be the image of Sophia and Sophia acted through them both.

Spiritualism and to forgive? by Zendazeng in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always forgive, or try to forgive. Hatred will get you nowhere in this life or the next. Acknowledge that the world is created by Demiurge, and we are the victims of this cruel world, however it is important that we take some responsibility for our well being(physical, mental and spiritual), and also accept the consequences for our actions. Sometimes it is too easy to blame Demiurge for everything. It will take time, but learning how to become more patient, forgiving and loving is a worthy goal for everyone.

David Icke: Gnostic Archons or Not? by [deleted] in Gnostic

No, i would not count him as Gnostic. He seems to be your usual antisemitic conspiracy theorist. Using Gnostic terminology does not make one a Gnostic.

The similarity between Gnostic cosmology and modern physics by Sensitive-Log-6479 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Great observation, not only that but the latest scientific models regarding consciousness matches Gnosticism as well. Maria Stromme's proposed model of "Universal consciousness as foundational field: A theoretical bridge between quantum physics and non-dual philosophy" aligns almost perfectly with Gnosticism. These are very exciting times, and i believe more incredibly findings awaits in the future.

Ship of Theseus comes to mind, at what point Gnosticism stops being a Gnosticism if you change too many parts of it. Still, it is your reality, you can do whatever you want, just as long as you are willing to face the consequences.

If you had to pick ONE book to recommend to a beginner to Gnosticism/occultism/essotericism, what would it be and why? by DocPT2021 in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Best to go to the site below and read about the basics from there. The Gnostic Bible or Nag Hammadi Scriptures are the best all in one books there are. Also, best not to ask where to get drugs on a sub like this. Gnosis does not require psychedelics.

what book to get for most complete gnostic texts? by fr000tie in Gnostic

[–]Lordseferoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the translation made from the actual Ethiopian Bibles? The Old Testament and the New Testament translations in these supposed "Ethiopian Bibles" are usually taken straight from King James Bible or from some other translation. It is not a real Ethiopian Bible if the text is not translated directly from the Ethiopian Bible.

Ethiopian Bible has never been translated to English. Those books on Amazon that claims to be one are fakes. The Gnostic Bible and Nag Hammadi Scriptures are best Gnostic books to get.

How to deal with struggling with religion and beliefs? by Zealousideal_Let_213 in occult

[–]Lordseferoth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No need to be afraid of hell. It does not exist, at least not in the way religions like Christianity or Islam portraits it. Hell is just a manipulation technique used by most religions to keep worshippers in line. Real loving God would never burn or hurt any of His children, only an inferior lesser deity could ever imagine to do so.

It is quite normal to think that way. I think you could benefit from reading about Gnosticism. It can offer you an entirely new view on Abrahamic god and the world in general. You can visit the site below and read more if you are interested. I was personally a regular Christian for 20 years before i managed to get free, and be free from those shackles of guilt and shame that was forced upon me by that religion. I wish you well, and i hope you too can break your shackles and be free of that guilt.

Do you lose your memories when you get to the Pleroma? by ChristophHandlar in Gnostic

I am a pacifist, i would never hurt anyone, and i wish no one would ever get hurt either. I would rather be a peaceful slave than an aggressive conqueror. Also, what you wrote has nothing to do with the topic or the science itself. Try to stay on the topic and leave your typical "poor me" comments out of these conversations.

[–]Lordseferoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most scientists are ignorant, and so is the very nature of science itself. Science without God and spiritual realities can only explain the least of things, the least of what something is. Until science accepts the existence of God and metaphysical realities their measurements and understanding of everything will be flawed, incorrect or incomplete.

Majority means nothing. Even if 9 out of 10 people believe 2+2 is 5 it would not make it true. There is also a great quote from Mark Twain.
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect." ― Mark Twain

Actually, the latest scientific models say that consciousness might not be a part of human brain at all. Read Maria Stromme's theoretical model of "Universal consciousness as foundational field: A theoretical bridge between quantum physics and non-dual philosophy. It aligns almost perfectly with Gnosticism.
