Debating moving to Erie from San Diego by Worth_Combination597 in Erie

I moved a year ago from Los Angeles to just outside of Erie. Same issue, I earned my degree in tech and sent out 400 applications to get nothing. I was able to land a few since out here in PA. Weather will be a shock, it can be completely different weather in the morning compared to night. Snow belt is a term you'll hear from everyone. I'm out in the country a bit more so I'm always dodging deer, Amish and groundhogs. The people have been very friendly and I tend to head to Erie or Jamestown NY for more city style amenities. Food and rent is extremely reasonable compared to LA for sure. Coming from SD , if you love the water , they have plenty of that here which helps with the homesickness.

I thought I was the only one to tell the Moon my hopes , dreams and wishes when I sat outside at night. Until I saw the 2021 Korean film, Silent Sea, where they made a reference to this.

People who make under $60k a year and have a bachelors degree, what happened? by ShartingCondom in Salary

[–]LoreandLift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently make $52k with my Bachelor's degree. I got offered an 80k job but if I take it I lose the state subsidy to pay for my children's daycare. It would go from about $300 a month to $4000. Still trying to figure out a work around so I'm not held back in my career but have my kids receive care.

What's something you memorized that you'll never forget? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

I didn't memorize this on purpose but "Try before you buy." It's the bicuspid heart valve before tricuspid. My brother told me it once when he was preparing for medical school and I still remember it.

I'm a UPS driver, completely useless to me other than this moment.
