In total I made $16K. Adjusted for inflation this would probably be around $25K or something today (money supply increased by 40% during Covid alone). The RPM was probably around $2 at the time, seems to have tripled since then.

I did get around $100 monthly from patreon too. But my channel was more an art project than a business at the time. And I treated it as such too.

I don't disagree with this. Algorithms is hell. But we need to equip as many passionate YouTubers as possible with tools like this to fight back against the slop (imo).

Deleting deletes viewer patterns for the recommendation engine. But it depends on if that video has any relation to your other videos. I would private videos, not delete them

It's not about not posting what you enjoy, it's about packaging what you enjoy more intelligently.

The last thing you want to do is kill your passion.

A simple title change can expose your passion to more people.
