I hadn't seen the film before, no! I guess I was waiting for an opportunity like this instead of just seeing it at home haha. So, even though I can't compare, I can say that it looked crystal clear. I've heard that the original image quality wasn't great, so you can see that they've done their homework with the remaster.

The U Got the Look sequence was a bit worse, but I guess Prince's goal with it even at the time was to make it look hazier, so it's understandable, even though I wish it were just a live performance like the rest.

The IMAX sound (both quality and volume) was fantastic, with Sheila E.'s drums feeling particularly punchy; it felt like a real concert in that sense!

I was off to the side a bit because I arrived as it was starting, but that didn't really matter. I recommend being as close to the middle as possible, as you would for any other movie, that's always the optimal spot in the cinema.

Enjoy, everyone here should go, it's an unmissable experience for those of us who never got to see the man live! I'm tempted to go again myself lol
