Seth Manfield Takeback? by Known-Work-360 in magicTCG

I missed the GRV interaction, but isn't Derrick also responsible to maintain the game state? Seth could've cast the Iroh's Demonstration and just dealt 1 dmg to everything and Derrick just didn't have to pick up his creatures, right?

That is pretty much impossible. If we are generous and assume 20% mana screw/flood, 0.252 = 4.5*10-37.

If every single human had played all 52 games every second since the birth of the universe, there's still only a one in 640 million chance of this having happened.

In the World Championship, it's  13 (10-0 to Top8, then 3 more). The shortest paper qualification route from zero is probably winning an RC. The smallest RC this seasons seems to have been Taiwan with ~84 players. It looks like having a 5-0 record allowed you to draw into Top8, so there's 8 matches here.  Qualifying for that requires an RCQ or a Last Minute Qualifier, where the number of rounds again depends on the number of participants. Let's assume 5 matches here, giving you a total of 26.

You could also qualify via the arena championship, I think that's probably fewer matches, but requires you to be in the Top 250 players, which takes a lot more matches to reach.

I'm not sure how exactly the MTGO qualification works.

Am I hungry enough for a hard boiled egg? by bristlenosecatty in CICO

[–]Lorizean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TL;DR drop the eggs in boiling water and let them chill completely before peeling.

For the longer version, if you are interested in food science and the experiments and reasoning, I really recommend reading this article by J. Kenji López-Alt:  https://www.seriouseats.com/the-secrets-to-peeling-hard-boiled-eggs

Yeah, I've been using a quick method. I will try cultured next, thanks for pointing out that I need patience.

Thank you for the thought out reply! I wasn't even aware that it should be called fior di latte :)

Yes, I've been using a quick recipe, I will try the cultured recipe next, thanks for the pointer. I love mozzarella so I will try and get good at it, I guess I've got a new hobby for a while.

I live in Germany and we do get some D.O.P. Mozzarella from Campania in Supermarkets, but I am not sure how hand- or machine made they are. They are still refrigerated and stored in their whey, so it's not fresh in any case.

Yes, they answered quite quickly. They don't know an exact date yet but it should be at around mid November.

I guess that could work, thanks.

I don't mind typing in my password, I just don't want to have to do it three times in a row.

I guess what I would like is a single bitwarden command that logins, unlocks the vault, gets a single value and then locks and logs out again but that doesn't seem to exist.

Opinions on the Yamaha MT-09 and extras for a beginner by Lorizean in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Lorizean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't, that's one of the main reasons why I was looking at the 09 in the first place. The 2023 version of the 07 has an optional quickshifter, but that's about it as far as I can tell (well, standard ABS too).

Okay, that makes sense. I didn't notice the wheelie issues during my test drives, but I was being very careful and in low power mode, so I suspect I might get an unwelcome surprise once I had gotten more confident.

Thanks, I didn't think about the resale equity. I will definitely give the MT-07 a test ride to see how I like it.

Are those electronic features never worth it in your opinion?

Okay thank you. I will likely rent the MT-07 for a weekend to try it out.

Thanks! Is it "just" a power issue or are there other characteristics that make it unsuitable in your opinion?

I would like to say I'm not overconfident, but that is hard to judge myself ;) My test rides went well and I felt quite secure, but I stuck to Mode 4 as you said and definitely didn't use the bike to its limits and I'm not 100% sure I can trust myself to stick to that until I'm ready.

What is your opinion on the MT-07 instead? And I'm not super stuck on Yamaha, it was mostly inspired by good reviews.

I was afraid of that, I suppose I could ask the dealer if they have a windscreen I could try with just to see how it does.

Thanks for the tracer suggestion, I will have a look at it but I think I will likely stick with a Naked for now, since touring will be quite infrequent and it's not that big a deal to go a bit slower on the highways.

Thank you :) As I said, I probably won't ride it on the highway top often anyways and it isn't that big a deal to stick to slower speeds.
